Interesting choice of words. Debauchery??? There's a word you don't hear every day. Does that refer to anyone who scandalously does it in a non-missionary position???

14 million illegal ingredients are going to be allowed to stay??? Does that mean that Coca-Cola will be putting cocaine back in its beverages???
.....Drugs and debauchery are widespread. And la... (show quote)

I think the meaning is a little broader than that. Remember that song in the 70s " don't hold back! If it feels good do it"? Folks were doing stuff that felt good to the point of harming themselves and others. Too much. It isn't getting better.

After searching around on Google for awhile, I gave up trying to find an actual outline of the actual Ryan budget. Instead there was a string of opinion pieces and the first bunch were all negative, thanks to Google's Liberal bias.

What I gather is that the budget plan cuts social services, college tuition aid and infrastructure spending while boosting military spending, and it doesn't matter if any of us like it or hate it, anyway, because it's an accepted given that the Senate won't even bring it up for a vote.

The point of Ryan's budget plan is to establish Republican values and goals ahead of the election later this year. It's a talking point and nothing more.

Nothing to see here, move along.

The fact that a majority of the House of Representatives colluded in passing this absurd budget is a travesty. They are supposed to pass laws to benefit the country, not themselves in the next election. I don't think the voting public will forget in November. They have had enough of this bullshit! Republicans are - once again - shooting themselves in the foot! And we taxpayers will - once again - pay the price.

Any budget that will even start to get things under control will hurt. The country has had the mentality of 'I owe, I owe, so off to work I go' far too long. Rather than to look forward to building a future for ones self it's been I need to keep up with the Smith's.

I don't believe are capable nor would they if they could. The world economy, nevermind the US, is built on debt and IOUs. A house of cards waiting for an excuse to tumble, and it would take much less than a lot of people think. Massive deflation, taking back currency creation power from the Fed and a return to the gold standard is the only way to change the direction we are headed. No one in Washington will allow that to happen until circumstances make it impossible to avoid. When (NOT if) it does we're all in for a world of hurt. Ryan knows this. He also knows there's no way in hell his budget will pass. He's just playing to the conservative base in the hopes they'll vote for Progressive/Establishment Republicans again in the next election.

Did they pass it, or did Ryan just submit it? In either case, too many of the House Republicans, like most of the Senate Republicans and Democrats of both chambers, are Establishment/Progressives, who's only real goal is to separate as much power and wealth from the people as they possibly can.

Oh the House passed it but the Senate will not, it has an R after the author and democrats would rather keep on spending.

I do not support the Ryan budget for one simple reason.

The reason is that it is fantasy to think anyone over 65 can use 8 thousand in vouchers to "pay for" their "free market health insurance" since medicare goes away. There's a reason why medicare was created. It was because free market insurance wouldn't cover seniors...at any cost.
