In reference to Ryan's plans... "predictable" is the right choice of word.... you can only rearrange the same plan around so many times before it gets old. I guess Charles Koch will have to write a new plan for Ryan next go around.

So now the Dems will try to make the Koch brothers the big demons for everyone to fear. They certainly do not want the focus on Obama. Just another diversionary tactic to avoid the truth.

Washington needs to start with THEMSELVES. If they can clean themselves up it would be a demonstration that they are serious. Then they need to tackle the budget problems a little bit at a time. It took years to get into this mess and it will take years to get out of it. Every sweeping legislative change ends up hurting the little guy the most. The ACA, for instance. The more you load into a thing, the harder it is to tell what works and what doesn't and the greater the adverse effect.

Hell no I do not support Ryan's budget. He has a proposal in his budget to reduce retired military pensions. All of us military retirees should be insulted by this portion of the proposed budget.

I wasn't going to comment ..but I can't help myself...ANYONE who thinks that Any politician, now or in the future is ever going to do anything about the debt is kidding themselves.....AMERICA AS WE KNOW IT IS FINISHED....Ask yourself this question...HOW DID THE ELECTED POLITICIANS LET THE DEBT GET OUT OF HAND IN THE FIRST PLACE....? Answer...Greed, self serving ideals, and corruption...And nothing will ever change any of those factors as long as the structure of our Elected representatives TERMS..PAY...And LACK OF ACCOUNTABILITY is allow to continue...Does anyone really believe that they will discipline themselves? I will answer your question because YOU ASKED instead of criticizing my spelling...Before I ever posted on the site, I read other post for quite a while...And I could see some folks thought they were better than others...SO I misspelled {angry}..Just to see who would make a remark or lecture me on spelling...Same with America with a small a....It worked..I was correct many times, and ridiculed for misspelling...And on 1 occasion was called UN-American for not using a capitol A...I found out who the smart asses were rather quickly...It was a fishing trip...And it worked... :lol:

Clever. Thank you for a civil answer, and I have done similar things (though not always liking myself when I did, especially when proven abundantly correct). Seeing the name and then reading your post (and others), a misspelling of "angry" did not seem possible. Of course, it is always possible for a person to find this site one night when plastered and make a mistake, yet again from your posts I did not see this as the case.

I don't think even Ryan was serious with his budget. It's just another ploy to shore up his base. He knew darn well that a budget that requires defunding Obamacare and casting seniors unto the insurance industry wolves by voucherizing Medicare was not going to fly. It's all stagecraft.

I don't believe are capable nor would they if they could. The world economy, nevermind the US, is built on debt and IOUs. A house of cards waiting for an excuse to tumble, and it would take much less than a lot of people think. Massive deflation, taking back currency creation power from the Fed and a return to the gold standard is the only way to change the direction we are headed. No one in Washington will allow that to happen until circumstances make it impossible to avoid. When (NOT if) it does we're all in for a world of hurt. Ryan knows this. He also knows there's no way in hell his budget will pass. He's just playing to the conservative base in the hopes they'll vote for Progressive/Establishment Republicans again in the next election.
