???????? And, you're paying for an inept, mismanaged, liberalized, bloated school system that spends over $10,000 per child and still produces idiots! Now, you want to put that $6.5T into that system? Sure there needs to be an accounting of that $6.5T, and I agree the pentagon bureaucracy needs changing, but we have spent a whole lot more on our failed education system than $6.5T. And, what about the trillions we have spent on poverty? Trillions have been spent over the past 40-50 years with the percentage of the poor remaining the same. Like I stated in my post, if want to relinquish our control of free international trade in our oceans, thus our security and wealth as a nation, just do what you advocate....and, we'll just be another second rate banana republic.
BTW, if you know anything about how the Defense Industry operates, which you don't, it is not hard to figure out why there is $6.5T unaccounted for. It didn't go into some one's pocket, like you probably think. Having spent many years in the military and defense industry, I have a pretty good idea where it went. The military at times, especially in times of conflict and war, money is spent on special projects, i.e., the special bombs designed and built to blow up those mountain caves in Afghanistan, is not properly accounted for....they were spent in a rush to get the job done. Just because it didn't fit properly in the debit and credit columns of an accountants ledger doesn't mean it wasn't spent constructively.
But to take that money and throw it into our bottomless pit of an education system, is just a bigger waste.
