"In the name of the Father,
And of the Son,
And of the Holy Spirit,"
Amen!

The Safety of the Faithful
To the Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. A Psalm of David.

Hear me when I call, O God of my righteousness!
You have relieved me in my distress;
Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.
How long, O you sons of men,
Will you turn my glory to shame?
How long will you love worthlessness
And seek falsehood? Selah

But know that the Lord has set apart for Himself him who is godly;
The Lord will hear when I call to Him.
Be angry, and do not sin.
Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah

Offer the sacrifices of righteousness,
And put your trust in the Lord.
There are many who say,
“Who will show us any good?”
Lord, lift up the light of Your countenance upon us.
You have put gladness in my heart,
More than in the season that their grain and wine increased.
I will both lie down in peace, and sleep;
For You alone, O Lord, make me dwell in safety.

Psalm 4:1-8

These are the words of David, King of Israel

King David address God and the good that God has done for him, in the beginning of this Psalm. How many times have we addressed the good that God did to us in our lives? Do we give thanks and credit to God, for the little successes in our lives? How many times have we blamed God for our shortcomings, and not praise him when times are good? Do you humble yourself before the Lord like King David does?

Then David addresses us, all of us. How many times do we earn pride for our works, and become arrogant? Don't we feel empowered through our successes? Through this empowerment and building of pride, we forget to humble ourselves before the Lord. For if God stands with us, how can we take credit for the successes of our ways? Then once we succeed, we turn from God. Our decisions become worse than the decisions of a blind man trying to walk or a deaf man attempting to sing. But for those who humble themselves before the Lord, the Lord set aside a place of peace and happiness. Because the humbled has turned away from their arrogance and listened to God, God will listen to him, who has listened to God. So when strife occurs, the Lord will listen to the humble, and ignore the arrogant. We have seen this in action during the last election. President Donald Trump humbled himself. He humbled himself to God, to the country. Hillary Clinton maintains to this very day her arrogance. Therefore, Trump was rewarded and Hillary was ignored by God. In fact, Hillary and Bill are being punished, yet the day of their atonement is yet to come. God is working before our eyes, keep watch like Jesus, son of David has taught us. Remember vengeance is mine saith the Lord!

The next verses, hold us to the discipline of the Lord. Sure we become angry. We are angered by the actions of the arrogant trying to undermine the very foundation in which we stand. Therefore, when we are angered, we should pray and reflect on the Lord, and ask the Lord for help in these trying times. Many times in the past eight years, I alone prayed to God for forgiveness, wisdom and help. The Lord has answered my prayer, however I am not entitled to His help, I too must work for it. I must carry my cross too. Each and every day seems harder than the previous day. But at some point, the answer comes, are we prepared for the answer or do we squander the rewards of the Lord against our fellow friends and family?

Are we not surrounded by people lamenting over the results of this election? How many movie stars, actors and actresses, singers, and other political figure heads cried when Hillary Clinton lost this election. How many of them asked the question, "Why?" and "Woe are we?". How many of the progressive liberals lamented over their defeat. What did you do, conservatives, to ease their pain? Then their mourning turned into anger. What did you, conservatives do, to ease their pain? Yes it is true, that the liberals are not honorable, when they are falling. But if the liberals would just listen to us, conservatives, who went through 24 years of this same pain, maybe the liberals would learn humility. The Lord Our God would rather humble the liberals than punish them in the fiery pit of hell. For the liberals may change their ways, and turn toward God, this is what could save them.

I can sleep well, knowing the final verses with in this Psalm, where David says, "Lord lift up the light of Your countenance upon us. You have put gladness in my heart, more than in the season that their grain and wine increased. I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; For you alone, O Lord, make we dwell in safety." The faith of David is so strong, that during the worst part of his life, King David found peace, and was able to sleep. He was made glad and his anger subsided. This is what is needed here amongst us Americans.

We are the greatest country in the world, now Donald Trump as President wants and longs to make us greater. We have the knowledge, willingness and power to do that, but it starts with the humbling of the heart to achieve this goal. When a heart is humbled to the Lord, the heart can sing and dance in happiness. The heart can sleep and rest in peace. We as followers of Christ can overcome any issue, any obstacle, if we humble ourselves. Through humility toward the Lord, eventually our Brothers and Sisters will see the humility of our ways. And through the humility will come peace.

We are a divided nation. We live in turbulent times. By praying on the idea of this Psalm we can find gladness, peace, and rest. Americans need gladness, peace and rest. We have been fighting amongst ourselves for the past 30 years. From OJ Simpson, to the Russians and Donald Trump, and we argue and argue. But in the end, at the end of the day, we are supposed to return to the same house, enjoy each other's company, laugh a bit, experience peace, and rest until morning.

Christ called us, "Sons and Daughters of God". We are the saints. Since we are all part of the family of God, we have dignity and honor. All of us, the liberals, progressives, and conservatives are all children of God. We are all entitled to the shelter of the Lord. However God cannot give anything to a person who refuses Him. Therefore, tomorrow, set aside all politics and take a breath. Pray to God for the reconciliation of the American family of Federal, State, and local communities. The liberals are great. The progressives are great. The conservatives are great. But what would be greater, is if the liberals, conservatives, and progressives would join forces, in the humility of the Lord. It is on this day, that the dream of one, Donald Trump, his promise will be fulfilled---We will be Great again! God is behind us, Trump is behind us, now let's get behind them.

Let's not reach out blindly and compromise our honor, our principles, our well being, but show by unity and example, the way God intended us to live. Make no mistake, God is Love. Through Love we will be able to be great again. Let us pray that God, helps us reunite, and become great again! Amen.

In Thee is gladness

1 In Thee is gladness amid all sadness,
Jesus, day-star of my heart!
By Thee are given the gifts of heaven,
thou the true Redeemer art!
Our souls thou wakest;
our bonds thou breakest.
Who trusts Thee surely
has built securely and stands forever: Allelujah!
Our hearts are longing to see thy dawning.
Living or dying, in thee abiding,
naught can us sever: Allelujah!

2 Jesus is ours!
We fear no powers,
not of earth or sin or death.
He sees and blesses in worst distresses;
he can change them with a breath.
Wherefore the story -
tell of His glory with hearts and voices;
all heaven rejoices in him forever: Allelujah!
We shout for gladness,
triumph o'er sadness,
love him and praise him,
and still shall raise him
glad hymns forever: Allelujah!

So good to see you here, LT. We need all the prayer power we can get right now. Just watch the news and it is obvvious how forces of evil are attacking President Trump - he must be doing something right if Obumer and the 'elites' hate him so.

We should look to the Word, David in particular, to see that even the choosen one of God suffers. Stay firm, stay, in prayer, and above all keep the faith. Doubt breds fear, easier said than done, but just keep believing.

An interesting aside, psychologists have studied the brain waves of conservatives and liberals. They have found our brains are set on such different belief paths that it would take an act of God to ever bring us even close to be in union. The studies are one thing, but we know prayer is powerful, keep up the good fight. Thank You, Lord, for hearing our prayers.

A Perfect Day, March 10,2017

Bear and I walked down to the barn yesterday afternoon, what a perfect day. The sun was brightly shinning, a gentle breeze stirred the grass, and not a cloud in a beautiful blue sky. Perfect for a picnic, or just a walk in the park. With such a pastoral, peaceful scene it's hard to imagine that war rages in the Middle East.

We have been blessed that war does not rage on our land, but the prospect of terror strikes is coming home to bite us just as it bites every other nation who has taken in refugees. Israel lives with the prospect of terror strikes anytime, anywhere. When I was there, I felt safe, I felt I had the opportunity to walk where my Savior had walked. Strange, uplifting feelings. I even tripped, and fell, but didn't get hurt.

Israel is surrounded by Arabs who would like to see her gone, but the hand of the Lord will maintain her, that I believe with all my heart, that I pray for. May the hand of our Glorious Lord maintain America as well. In You, Lord, I put all my trust and faith; I thank You for each day; and I praise Your Holy Name. Amen

Yes, I am going to say it: Praying for America Through the Psalm of David--> the first time around worked against the Obama Administration, and now Praying for America Through the Psalm of David: the second Journey is working for the Trump Administration. We must continue to pray for America. Keep Praying folks. Either pray and post your prayer or pray silently in your homes. Never cease Praying. America can only be great again, through prayer and the Donald does pray where the Obama worked against prayer.

We have moved mountains with our little prayer sites, let us continue for another 150 days, join us in prayer and watch with open eyes the beauty of the works of God. Amen!

BearK is right, now let us all pray for ourselves, our communities and our country, Amen!

A Prayer for Guidance
To the Chief Musician. With flutes. A Psalm of David.

Give ear to my words, O Lord,
Consider my meditation.
Give heed to the voice of my cry,
My King and my God,
For to You I will pray.
My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord;
In the morning, I will direct it to You,
And I will look up.
For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness,
Nor shall evil dwell with You.
The boastful shall not stand in Your sight;
You hate all workers of iniquity.
You shall destroy those who speak falsehood;
The Lord abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.
But as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy;
In fear of You I will worship toward Your holy temple.
Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies;
Make Your way straight before my face.
For there is no faithfulness in their mouth;
Their inward part is destruction;
Their throat is an open tomb;
They flatter with their tongue.
Pronounce them guilty, O God!
Let them fall by their own counsels;
Cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions,
For they have rebelled against You.
But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;
Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them;
Let those also who love Your name
Be joyful in You.
For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous;
With favor You will surround him as with a shield.
Psalm 5:1-12
These are the words of David, King of Israel

Have you ever been in a situation where you did not know what to do? You know what is right. You know what is wrong. But life is not black and white. There are times where you cannot see the forest for the trees. Therefore David sought Guidance from God.

First he sees that God does not take pleasure in wickedness and that evil does not survive let alone dwell with Him. He declares that the boastful shall not stand in His sight, and that He hates all the workers of iniquity. David states that the Lord shall destroy those who speak falsehood and that He abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.

If only our Democrat friends would heed this part of the Psalm, this country would not be in the mess that it is in. But they have turned their back on God. In the past eight years, the leaders of the Democratic party did the exact opposite as what is stated in these verses, Psalm 4:4-6.

But not all people here in America are extreme Democrats. We fall somewhere in the middle of two extremes. Although we support some of the Democrat's principles, we know that in the shelter of the Lord, these circumstances that the Democrats preach, do not occur. Only with the temptation of the wicked do the circumstances that the Democrats preach, occur.

David goes on, "But as for me....", if we heed the wisdom of this Psalm we too are like David. Not all conservatives are like King David, some have turned lukewarm to the wickedness of the democrat's liberal wickedness. So we, those who walk in the righteousness of the Lord, however we must be lead in this understanding. Who will teach us to move forward. David then pleads with the Lord, asking Him to lead us. Therefore the Lord sends us Prophets to help us in our journey.

Then King David describes them in Psalm 5:9, when he says,

"For there is no faithfulness in their mouth;
Their inward part is destruction;
Their throat is an open tomb;
They flatter with their tongue."

In this day and age, this is the description of the progressive, liberal movement. Are all liberal progressives wicked? No. But their leaders appear to be. Between Obamacare, Homosexual Rights, Fast and Furious, Immigration, ISIS, and Benghazi, we Americans have seen the deceit of our leaders. But it is a new day in America for the fulfillment of Psalm 5:10 is being fulfilled. David calls upon the Lord to pronounce the wicked Guilty and to let them fall by their own counsels. Then cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions, for these wicked people have rebelled against the Lord. Thus the hand of the Lord will punish the guilty.

But for the rest of us, we have struggled to survive in the shadow of the Lord. Where His shadow has become a shield against the wicked and have become our shield. The day of atonement is coming. The day where these wicked people shall pay for their sins. Rejoice my friends and fellow saints, for the time is now.

But be forewarned: some of us, have compromised the love of the Lord. This is called being lukewarm. Do not allow yourself to be lukewarm in the shadow of His Love. Through His favor, do not compromise what is right. Forgive your neighbor for being a member of the wicked, and convince him, a lost soul who does not know where to turn, convince him to return to righteousness and seek the forgiveness of the Lord.

St. Paul writes, "Make your yeses, yes's, and your noes, no's" Therefore listen to St. Paul. Listen to his words, for if you don't walk the straight and narrow, then the wicked are forever lost. You cannot help anyone if you cannot help yourself. Pray for Guidance from God as David did.

If you are a Democrat, Progressive, or Liberal, or a combination of all three, this Psalm is for you. Repent and the Lord will gently welcome you back into the grace of his family. However, if you have made up your mind, that you need not the Lord, nothing we can say or do will be able to save you from your demise.

If you are a Conservative, do not take pride in the demise of our Democrat, Liberal, Progressive, brothers and sisters. For if one soul is lost to wickedness we all suffer. In the love of Christ convince them of the error of their ways. Gently call them back into the grace of Christ, and show them through our example, that the truth of Christ is a very rich, and prosperous, joyful life.

It was once said that a sinner has more fun than a saint. I say there is more temptation being a saint then there ever was in being a sinner. Yet the saint experiences more joy, and the joy is long lasting, then the sinner. However, wisdom can only lead us into everlasting joy, if we saints were to rescue just one sinner from the wickedness that leads to destruction.

Ask our Democrat, liberals and progressives to pray to the Lord for our Country. Ask them to pray in righteousness. For every 100 democrats that you ask to pray for America, ten will actually pray. Therefore, let us show them the error of their ways in constructive criticism, rather than be violent against them. Take the example of King David when he was running from King Saul: David was anointed by Our Lord, Saul was anointed by Our Lord, We were anointed in Freedom of being citizens of this great nation of America by Our Lord. The Democrats, Progressives, and Liberals too were anointed in the same manner we were anointed, by our Lord. Therefore, correct our fellow brothers and sisters, but do not attack or destroy them.

Let God discipline the Democrats, Liberals, and Progressives, as he did to us during the past twenty-four years. Someday, we will be immortal all of us, and the universe is big enough for all of us.

However the gold of the universe, which has been granted to us by God, is Freedom. It is this freedom we all must exercise to make the world a better place to live in. The founding fathers, gave us this treasure, but with this treasure we need guidance from the Lord, above.

Take guidance in the Lord, and may he guide us in making America Great again. I ask this in the name of Our Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.
"In the name of the Father,
And of the Son,
And of the Holy Spirit,"
Amen!

A Prayer for Guidance
To the Chief Musician. With flutes. A Psalm of David.

Give ear to my words, O Lord,
Consider my meditation.
Give heed to the voice of my cry,
My King and my God,
For to You I will pray.
My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord;
In the morning, I will direct it to You,
And I will look up.
For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness,
Nor shall evil dwell with You.
The boastful shall not stand in Your sight;
You hate all workers of iniquity.
You shall destroy those who speak falsehood;
The Lord abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.
But as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy;
In fear of You I will worship toward Your holy temple.
Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies;
Make Your way straight before my face.
For there is no faithfulness in their mouth;
Their inward part is destruction;
Their throat is an open tomb;
They flatter with their tongue.
Pronounce them guilty, O God!
Let them fall by their own counsels;
Cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions,
For they have rebelled against You.
But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;
Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them;
Let those also who love Your name
Be joyful in You.
For You, O Lord, will bless the righteous;

"For there is no faithfulness in their mouth;
Their inward part is destruction;
Their throat is an open tomb;

Your message today reminds me of James 5:20 "let him know that he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins."

God's Timing, March 11, 2017

Today we have the computer to look up information, click - click, there it is in front of us. So many conveniences are at our fingertips that we have become a 'Right Now' society. God still works at a different pace, and too often we tend to give up too soon. As the saying goes - 'Stop! and smell roses.'

We put up with someone we may have felt should not have been president, so for EIGHT long years we watched while he drove us into deep debt, played favorites with his cronies, and punished those he felt were enemies. Then came our time, and many of us were in Prayer that Donald Trump would win - and against what appeared to be long odds - he won. If we learned any lessons from that, one should be patience.

This quote from Henry Wadsworth Longfellow should open our eyes to God's timing: “Though the mills of God grind slowly, yet they grind exceeding small; Though with patience He stands waiting, with exactness grinds He all.”

Let us lean on the lessons of the past 8 plus years, one is patience, and two is perseverance. We must learn to wait on God's timing, and we must not give up but be in constant prayer, knowing our Lord has heard us.

One of my favorite Bible verses tells us those two things - Isaiah 40:31 "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint."

Holy, Holy, Holy! Lord God Almighty!
1 Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee;
holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!

2 Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore thee,
casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
cherubim and seraphim falling down before thee,
who wert and art and evermore shalt be.

3 Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hide thee,
though the eye made blind by sin thy glory may not see,
only thou art holy; there is none beside thee,
perfect in power, in love, and purity.

4 Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy name, in earth and sky and sea;
holy, holy, holy! merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!

HOPE, March 12, 2017

Fill my heart with Hope, Dear Lord, that I may face each day strong and alert.
Fill my heart with Optimism, Dear Lord, that I am more aware of the positive.
Fill my heart with Compassion, Dear Lord, that I may understand another's anguish.
Fill my heart with Generosity, Dear Lord, that I may give freely to one in need.
Fill my heart with Perseverance, Dear Lord, that no matter the battle, I will keep going.
Above all,
fill my heart with Devotion, Dear Lord, that I know You will be waiting for me when I come home.

I may be late with hymns. I have a broken tooth and have some degree of pain. I have medication. It might put me to sleepy land. I will follow up after resolving the tooth issue.
