This is a very interesting video do not assume what you think it will say...please watch, it's enlightening and shows us the real place to attack the problem. Would love bipartisan feedback.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdHtrcXGYckIt's put out by NumbersUSA, and I have seen this, or one like it several years ago. It is quite compelling. In fact I used to donate to their org back before I sold my business and retired.
I would say it is not my problem to fix anyone's problems. It is not my responsibility OR RIGHT for me to fix anyone's problems with someone else's money and resources, and definitely not someone else's responsibility OR RIGHT to fix someone's problems with my money. Those folks are not my problem. Their problems are not my problems. Leave them to their own devices and let them die off or succeed through natural selection.
I live in a neighborhood with many others. Some live in nicer houses, some have more (or less) money. Some have different needs. What those people choose to do to address their needs is entirely up to them. It is not my responsibility to oversee how many children they need to have, the quality of their house, their life, their health, or their education. My responsibility is to make sure they stay out of my yard, live in peace, and contribute from time to time on paving the street. Otherwise, they can get the hell out or go to jail.
As far as genocide, I can only take care of me and die trying.

I do believe you've missed the concept of a village, and that also of the video. You didn't take the time to watch did you?

I thought they proved their point very well, we're not going to solve the worlds problems by taking on all immigrants unhappy with their own country.
It is about teaching one to fish.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DdHtrcXGYckPerhaps we should provide education and birth control to all those impoverished countries. If we continue to take in all these millions, we will all be impoverished. It seems to me, their governments should take some responsibility for their predicament.
I'll bet their leaders are not impoverished. No wonder our money is running out. While it's wonderful to be caring and loving toward our fellow man, it can be self destructive.
I have empathy for the poor. I also care about our own American poor. Believe it or not, we have impoverished people in this country who probably have less than$2.00 per day, and sleep on the street. And they are Americans, NOT immigrants.
You're only proving your ignorance....again, typical you make an uninformed comment.

Yes it's about not taking on immigrants but teaching other countries not only sustainability but productivity. The only way this can be done is to show the other counties and governments how they will benefit with implementing changes. It would also help a great deal to have them become monogamous.

I watched it from beginning to end, and have seen several of their videos and found them quite informative. The point of "village conceptualization" as you call it, is greatly understood by me. The point you don't understand is that I don't think it is the village's responsibility to take care of anyone with anything collectively. I think it is the responsibility of each villager to address the needs of others, and only to the point that each villager wants or can care for their neighbor. That is why the white man is failing. He wants to care for others, while his own family fails. In taking that thought a step further, that is why the United States is currently on a failing path. Too many do gooders taking care of others with your money, instead of allowing you the opportunity and joy of helping others or letting them fail --- as YOU deem appropriate.
Reality is, there are not enough resources on this planet to care for all of the inhabitants, and foolish people think it is their responsibility to choose the winners and losers. I maintain if you allow some of these people to fail long enough, they will (a) fall into extinction, or (b) learn to operate in such a way that they can succeed. Giving everything away just because you have it still won't make everyone succeed or survive.
If you believe any differently, you are what is causing and intensifying the problem, rather than being part of the solution. Then again, what do I know. I am a blue collar worker with a high school education that has helped to produce a PHD, a Juris Doctorate, a biologist, and a DVM. What do I possibly know........

Reply just a tad overboard. He has a right to his opinion. While it's not everyone's!

Everything he/she said is right on. Empathy is killing us. There are ways to help w/o self destruction.
Thank you, Carol. I have helped many a friend or family. I contribute to my "village". I believe in helping others to help themselves. I don't, however, believe in anyone helping themselves to any of my resources without my approval! I worked for it. I earned it. No one has ever given me anything, and contrary to what that idiot Obama believes, I did build it, and will continue to do so.
