If it's raw it isn't food. It's bait.😐

Amen! I outgrew raw oysters. I used to like the smoked oysters in a can until I gave one to my Irish Setter 30+ years ago. He sniffed it and then began to roll on it. That did it for me.

For nearly 22 years now, my wife has refused to allow liver to reside in our fridge because she is disgusted by it. The fact I have allowed many disgusting substances to reside there is irrelevant. You know, cottage cheese, yogurt, 2% milk, oysters one time.

Anyway, I made my stand today, and have 4 slices of calves liver in there now, and was wondering if any of you can tell me the best way to cook it. Onions too. Liver, and onions.
My grandmother made the best ever! The stuff I get in restaurants just isn't like hers was.
If anyone can help, I would appreciate it greatly since I'm cooking it tomorrow. Win lose, or draw!

Love liver and onions Archie.....me and the dogs have it a couple times a month....Mmmmmmmm

I usually fry up a few strips of bacon...OK...6 strips, Xtra crispy....remove those for a bit later.......use the pan with the bacon grease......dredge your liver in any flour to coat, drop in hot bacon grease......toss in your onions to carmelize a bit while frying the liver.....couple minutes on each side (liver cooks fast) go with a yellow or 10/15 onion....sweeter than a white.......

Toss liver on your plate, cover with the carmelized onions, crumble that Xtra crispy on top and it's all fork to face from there.............................i would also suggest a super cold quart of chocolate moo milk as your beverage. .......just sayin'

I have and they taste great. Having lived in the Northwest my entire life, I have found a few "best of the best" Sushi Chefs that really know how to prepare the many different sea creatures of the Pacific Ocean. It took several trips out with friends , for sushi and them pushing me to try raw fish. One day I finally gave in, and now have several raw fish favorites, salmon is amazing.
