Yeah, progress is known for the damage it commits...
There is a vast difference between human progress and the liberal progressive agenda. "Progressive" in the political sense has nothing to do with any benefit to mankind, it is authoritarian in nature. The father of liberal progressivism, Woodrow Wilson, made certain of that. Progress implies a growing prosperity, an enlivening of the human spirit, and the protection of Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. Liberal Progressivism is the antithesis of that. "Progress" in the doctrine of this political ideology means only the overthrow of American constitutional freedoms and replacing them with an oppressive government system that regulates and controls all of a nation's society.
BTW: There is no such thing a Anthropogenic Global Warming, this is just another political weapon in the liberal progressive arsenal. As with everything else about this destructive ideology, AGW is fashioned from artificial constructs, fabricated frameworks, and butchered science.

let it burn Arch... we run a wood stove & fireplace at the same time all winter... All the hardwood comes off my land from clean ups ... great heat source @ a great price... it's also helpful to have two sons & a sharp axe
Long time no see emarine! Sounds like you have a good gig going there! We go 3 hours south to my brother's ranch, and clean up his dead misquite. We always try, and time it for when we can hunt hogs too! Win, win!
Having the kids to help is great. But my two lazy scrubs think they need chainsaws for that stuff.
We don't have much hardwood here in the sticker patch where we live, so we have to buy oak, hickory, etc.
My cousin in New Mexico had about 10 acres of pinion pine blow down in a storm several years ago, and we milked that until he figured out that he could sell it.
That stuff is great in your chimichanga chiminea......whatever they call that ceramic Mexican outdoor fire place thingy that sits on your patio.

Ain't it great
to sit in front of your nice warm fire place on a cold winter night,
slowly sipping a tot of Jack
and just being glad you aren't out in the blowing storm????
I prefer a hot, spiced cider with a tot of rum in it myself. Or a hot cup of coffee with a total of Kahlua, or Bailey's Irish cream.
Either way, sitting in front of a nice, warm fire is comforting, and good for the soul.

You can burn clean by burning soy fire logs, they burn longer and cleaner, keeps your chimney clean too.

Screw "cleaner", nothing beats the aroma of pine, cedar, or hickory smoke.

How much energy other than human labor is involved in the process of manufacturing these soy logs?
And what is the profit margin?

Dunno but they're USA made.
You'd have to check out what sizes and such, I know Duraflame makes some. There are new companies coming out perfecting them better.
I researched and found they use about 15,000 btu's per lb so 5lb +75,000
