1. Then why am I burning wood in it?
Because it's COLD!

2. One lightening strike can (and has) cause a wildfire that will put out more smoke than I could in many lifetimes of burning wood in my stove.
That's what nature does.

3. One building fire caused by an electrical problem puts out many times the toxins into the atmosphere than my woodstove ever could think about. With the electricity coming from an evil fossil fuel, or nuclear power plant.

4. Does burning wood in my stove deprive the electricity cartel of some revenue? It does!

I like my woodstove, and will burn wood in it until the planet warms back up!

Dammit! I had a link that I received earlier about some greenie whining about wood burning stoves. I guess I fat-fingered something, and lost it!

Of course it does not. Just make sure your house has enough make up air for
. that chimney.
Stay warm 😊

Better stock up then. Lefties can blow more hot air than any other species on Earth.

Wood stoves are cool, arch. Oops, did I say that right? You know what I mean. And, apart from the cozy warmth of a wood stove, there is the wonderful scent of wood smoke, nature's incense. There's the joy of having direct control of your habitat, there's the ambiance of a happy home.

Talk about smoke. One fine day during my career as a firefighter, we were dispatched to a fire in a railroad warehouse complex. The instant we rolled out the door of the firehouse, we saw it. First words out of the captain's mouth was, "Oh shit!" It was five miles from us and the smoke cloud was humongous. We got there after a half dozen other units and found four connected warehouses near fully involved. One warehouse contained propane tanks for RVs and campers (the tanks were exploding), another was a refrigeration warehouse with four foot thick walls containing sawdust as insulation, another housed auto parts, and another was loaded with truck tires. This last one was belching a huge volume of heavy, thick, oily black smoke that damn near shut out the sun. Never saw that much smoke in all my days as a firefighter. Fighting this bitch is another story.

Enjoy your wood stove, arch, screw the EPA and the AGW alarmists.

Wood heat is good heat. It is simple and reliable and if the electricity goes out you can cook on a wood stove.

Using a wood burning stove doesn't contribute to global warming as it only uses carbon sources that are currently in circulation. Now if you used coal that would be a different story but I use a wood burning stove and fireplace without any guilt at all.

There is NO progress when you socialists are in charge. Example: the past eight years!
