Then they heard about a strain of marijuana high in CBD. IT STOPPED HER SEIZURES. You want to deny that life saver to children and adults.

As to a gateway drug, THAT is BULLSHIT! I know people that have been using marijuana for 40 years. They are have jobs, raised families and are productive citizens.

"Tell your bullshit know nothing about marijuana other than what you have been brainwashed with"????? Nice display of your absolute ignorance, buddy. Stick it where the sun doesn't shine, asshole. By the way, I never said that it did not have any medicinal uses, I just said regulate it and dispense it like any other drug. Of course you conveniently overlooked that, and anything else that counters your bullshit narrative.

I do, know several friends who live there and a couple are contemplating moving out of state because of it! Oh, and, the increased homeless? They're just starting to collect DUI data, and it is increasing. I see nothing good coming from legalizing it.

And don't forget all the college students from out of state who decided Colorado suddenly became appealing.

With you Buffalo..my 74 yr old Aunt had pancreatic cancer and literally went through hell in the worst pain you can imagine, not able to eat etc...Went from 140pds. Down to 101...Anyway, she took heavy duty drugs when she just couldn't stand it anymore until she tried the THC oil..She couldnt smoke a joint because she never smoked and coughed too much trying...

All those heavy duty drugs and itvwas the THC oil derivative that finally gave her peace and eased her pain...She also ate more..Not much but some...

I supported the bill to legalize pot and even did some case study on it for the firm that was presenting it before session and get it on the ballot..
First year around it past by 58% but state required 60% majority .Second year it past 88%...
I lived it..I saw and know what it did to help her and I would deny no one that ability ....

Once again, something that could have been prescribed by a doctor and obtained from a pharmacy. A whole state didn't need to be screwed up, and a lot of kids screwed up on drugs just to benefit a few people! You'll never convince me that legalizing it was good...I have seen way too many friends and relatives become screwed up and close to homeless because of marijuana. Some were grandparents that had to raise their kids kids because their parents got hooked on weed. People that led productive lives until they got hooked on that stuff.

And alcohol abuse has nothing to do with the homeless? Alcohol is directly linked to 88,000 deaths per year. Drinking to much alcohol can kill a person. NO ONE has EVER died from pot overdose. Tobacco use is directly linked to 440,000 deaths per year. There is no known medical use for consumed alcohol or tobacco. As for marijuana, whose legalization for medical uses has been a matter of strong public policy debate for years, there is ample evidence that beneficial compounds can be found in the plant.

I think it smells good...especially compared to stinking tobacco smoke.

I live in Colorado and what you say simply is not correct..Pot is not allowed in resturants, bars or anywhere where there is a public presence..just like smoking cigeretts is prohibited pot is as well. So where your friends are smelling it must be coming from the homes they live in or visit outside somewhere...

My post was relative to the law as applied as stated in the article..it is assumptive and not supported by asduming anyonevis anything until proven they are..

I wssnt trying to convince you it is good or bad..I addressed the law itself..

And by the way the cops would tell you its freed them up to concentratevon the heavy drug dealers and lighrened paperwork for them and time in coyrt..I know, I have worked with a couple...They dont hate it and this state is booming in business...They just past a bill to add 6ft to a dam that poses a threat if it over flows.. Guess what money they are 6uding?? YUP, the revenue from the pot, not taxing the citizens for it..They already have it ....Ask your friends about that too...

The Federal law and state laws do conflict and need to be in uniformity for and to all states...

So? I don't disagree on alchol...I don't touch the stuff. I don't need a crutch, apparently like you people do.

So, you want to add to those statistics with weed? Tobacco and alcohol don't hold a candle to the pukey smell of weed.

I don't know where they smell it at, I just know they do there in CO, because they talk about the smell all the time, and they don't like it. I know one thing you can smell it on a weed smokers clothes. They also don't like what it is doing to the state, and a lot of their friends and neighbors. My daughter-in-law's parents (divorced) live in different areas of CO, and they both bring up the subject of how bad it is and how much damage it is doing to the state, every time they come out to visit. I also know a Forest Ranger LEO in CO, and he has hundreds of stories of the damage it does to the people he has to deal with.

Yeah, you're right about those federal laws, my wife's brother spent some time in jail in CO because he thought he could bring in a bag of weed from CA. Best thing that happened to him, because his probation requires periodic testing and it allowed him to get off the stuff...he is more like a human being now. He says he will never go back to it. When he was on it, he was a totally different person, I couldn't stand to be around him....now, he is pleasant to be around. That is just one of several I personally know who got hooked on that stuff and it ruined their marriages, jobs, etc. Like I've said, I know several friends and relatives who have totally screwed up their lives smoking weed...I even lost two cousins who died prematurely smoking that crap. So, don't try and tell me it is beneficial.

Yeah, just like that popular vote...morons.

Just watch, over the next several years, when the intelligence level of the populace becomes dumbed down because of smoking weed, and what it does to the readiness of military personnel, oh, and all those people who will become statistics on our highways because of some weed smoker takes them out. Yeah, just watch.

God created marijuana, he looked on his creation and saw that it was good. Marijuana is harmless, and much more so than alcohol. Prohibition didn't work, and it was repealed. The crime associated with an illegal drug is not because of the drug itself. It is because of the illicit sale of the drug, demand, and expense. If marijuana was legalized, regulated, and taxed, it would be a tremendous source of revenue. Instead, our prisons are clogged with drug offenders. It costs multiple millions to keep someone in prison. When the Messiah comes, he will legalize marijuana.

Linda the data is there for the medical benefits of hemp is there for anyone to see. As for the war on drugs it had the desired effect, keep those private prisons full. It is the longest war we ever fought and we will not win it.
