There WERE serious problems with the ACA from it's inception, democrats in Congress refused to acknowledge them, republicans listed them incessantly, especially at election time - then refused to deal with them, that is, fix them, which was within their power to do. Republicans preferred to let the American people suffer through the agonies of the affordable care act - because it was a useful campaign tool. Every republican in America should be pissed as hell at their elected leaders, for being willing to let them suffer - to make political points.

How does one maintain loyalty to a party that lets them suffer? How does one maintain loyalty to a party that refuses to acknowledge mistakes and refuses to make amends? When are republicans and democrats going to get tired of waiting for "help" that never comes? Year after year, we hear nothing except a list of problems, that we're already well aware of, and promises to make things better if we just elect so and so, or give this party the majority - and we haven't seen any of the promises kept since the 1990's. Does it make sense to say "this time will be different" - 20 years in a row?



We keep having the same issues bite us in the ass, because we keep falling for the same lame excuses about why they haven't been dealt with already and lying to ourselves when we say " THIS time they'll get shit done", when there is no evidence that any of them plan to EVER deal with them. So keep on blaming whoever you want, if it helps to keep your delusions alive, but when you're tired of doing this year upon year, just stop it and see things how they really are.

As much as you would like to see it happen, Obama Care has not collapsed. It’s here to stay and will be here when you’re gone. Just because there will be a rise in premiums doesn't mean the ACA is failing. It takes the thinking and lack of empathy of right wing "religious" idiots to keep rooting for failure of one of the most basic necessities of life...health care. As far as the rise in premiums, take a look at this chart and wipe that gloat off your face. Premiums are controlled by the insurance companies and have been rising every year for ages.

You brought up the issue of "in it's present form", I didn't and I never implied that the ACA was perfect. However, it's better than the previous health care initiatives where only the rich, select few could afford health coverage and those who couldn't, used emergency rooms for routine care. You were paying for that care and you weren't bitching about it, so why now bitch about health care subsidies and Medicaid? The fifty attempts by congress to repeal the ACA is indicative of the hypocrisy of the right wing that claims to be for all Americans....except those who are sick and need care and treatment. They have done nothing to make the law better, and the thoughtless reasons for not attempting to work out the kinks show that they really have deep seated hatred for Obama and have no sense of caring for their fellow man. Fueled by hate and discontent, you are witnessing the complete destruction and demise of the once relevant Republican party.

I assumed you knew I got the idea for this topic while listening to Limbaugh. I am merely surprised you would listen to him. With Limbaugh you either love him or deeply hate him. If you hate him, you might still listen to him a little to get ammunition to use here. I do the same with liberal programing and internet sites, however there is only so much opposition programming the human body can take. In the old days, early in the Bush Presidency, I used to watch Keith Olbermann and curse and throw things at the TV screen until I was forced to turn him off.
