Usually, i vote AGAINST policies, not FOR a party.

About abortion, laws against abortion don't prevent abortion. They just punish the woman by making it more dangerous and expensive. We have to improve the economy to reduce abortion. So I vote against Wall Street and their lackies who oppose hiring the unemployed to build infrastructure: Republicans.

Politicians in BOTH parties supported the filthy war against Vietnam, Serbia, and invading Iraq.

Religion belongs in church and home, not in public where it is subject to disagreement. The Founders were absolutely right to keep it out of Congress.

Common sense is uncommon. Example: most people oppose Congressional spending because they think they are paying for it with taxes but that's false.

Since Obama's first day in office, we have increased the debt by about $10 trillion. That's new money, an addition to the money supply. Taxpayers can't create new money. Only Congress and counterfeiters do that.

Congress creates money by spending. Tax payments are matched with incoming Treasury checks so they cancel each other to maintain a constant closing balance of the bank reserves and stay on the Fed's interest rate target.

So taxpayers do not pay for spending. We are all sub-contractors to the government, benefiting from federal spending, like workers in a tank factory.

The above is factual and rational. What say you?

Probably a pretty fair description of how it works.
But all is not honey and roses, with a system like that, our dollars keep losing value, until out of control inflation brings the system down.
We are probably past the point of correcting this.

Well, Marvin, I really don't want to be argumentative about your facts and rationale in your reply; however, I just don't understand some of it!
First, I want to ask you about abortion. Yes, it is the law, but it is a flawed law made by liberal progressive judges, and, in my opinion, a political ruling to influence women to vote Democrat! The Democrat Party pushed hard for this law in order to capture a consistent voting block in their efforts to retain political power! The two women lawyers (Democrats) would not quit the push even though the lady whom they filed for wanted to back out! Slavery was a law also, but thank God good people rescinded it!!! Would you agree to obey that law if it were still law???
I agree with you that IN TODAY'S CULTURE WE DO NOT WANT SCHOOLS INVOLVED IN "RELIGION!!!!!!! But, I'm old enough to remember when Judeo-Christian values were acknowledged in school based on The Bible! And guess what, Marvin, there was virtually no murders, no overcrowded jails, no child molesting; kids played outdoors day and night, walked anywhere they wanted without fear or incident! Look at what we have "progressed" to in today's America! Oh, and no one was forced to be "religious" but did respect those who were!
In that society, religion was understood (even up the 1970's) to be the worship of The God of Israel, nothing else!!!!

My statement about abortion has NOTHING to do with laws, which are futile. Desperate women will do what they will do. Laws only punish, not prevent.

Your religion may indeed have a good effect but not necessarily in the face of those who have a different religion. I don't see why you keep pushing it out there where it may offend others. Life is tough enough without all that controversy. Those kids in school have family at home who are teaching their kids what they want to teach them, not what the teacher wants to teach them. The teacher gets paid to teach, not to preach. Live and let live!

Thanks for bearing with me, Marvin. And thanks for responding. Please be assured that I am not trying to convert you in terms of religious choices; to be true to my Father God, I'm encouraged to follow His Commandments and display a love and respect for all peoples. After studying His Word and Commandments, in my opinion they are all meant primarily to protect us and make our earthly time as good as it can be for us!
The original states had no argument against Who to worship, only with denominational sacraments and different interpretations of how to worship The God of Israel Whom has adopted all humans into His Family through the Sacrifice of His only begotten Son, Jesus the Christ, the ONLY perfect life ever lived on planet earth.
The first humans, Adam and Eve, were created with DNA that made them immortal (modern science confirms that gene is still present in humans, but it shuts down at birth). He told them if they ate of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, they "would surely die"! As he "adjusted " the DNA,
lifetime mortalities were shortened up unto the New Testament covenant finally ended up at "three score and ten years".
Due to God establishing the "first" blood sacrifices by slaying animals (life-blood sacrifices) and giving Adam and Eve coverings for their bodies in order to live in a world of knowledge of good and bad! And the rest of the story is in The New Testament where Jesus, being a perfect sacrifice for all sins, past, present, and future are forgiven by faith in Jesus, Grace, and Mercy! All He ever wanted from us humans is Love and our living life by learning from Him so that our lives here are the best they can be! HE CARES FOR US, HE LOVES US WITH A LOVE WE CANNOT FULLY UNDERSTAND, AND HE WANTS US TO BE HIS CHILDREN HERE AND IN ETERNITY!!!!

I grew up and was in school in the 50's and early 60's. If I remember correctly, God was kicked out of schools in 1963, after my time there when we did have bible reading and flag allegiance to start the morning in our "home room".

I don't know, gentlemen, if you are saved or not, and I don't know if supporting abortion will cost you your salvation - that is God's bailiwick! I do know we will face Him one day to be judged (yes, I believe He is Holy and His Word is Holy!) and He could very well ask us why we killed all those innocent, helpless babies. Our answer might be "but Lord, I didn't kill any babies! His response might be I told you in My Word that if you support evil, you are just as guilty as the perpetrator of that evil!( see 2John vv7-11)
But, as a Christian, I do not (although I should) try to force you or scare you! He gave you free will and does not allow me or any other Christians to use those tactics (but we are to tell you the truth as we know it from His Word)!! Listen, if He allowed His angels (Lucifer and his demons) free will to try to replace God and working from earth and being successful in convincing a great number of people to follow him and their souls to go to hell and wait for the final judgment!!! (My opinion based on The Holy Bible)!
