Remember when the House passed a CR that extended the mandate but Obama and Reid wouldn't even discuss it.

They were bound and determined to foist this debacle on the American public, confident that enough of us were dumb enough to not be able to connect the dots.

The dems first checked to make sure that the media would blame the repubs, even when Obama tipped his hand with the hateful things he did!

Doesn't matter now. Rechewing the beans just causes gas and solves nothing.

You mean that if the republicans betrayed their constituants and OBEYED every whim of the usurper, HE wouldn't have shutdown what parts of the peoples servants HE wanted to! You expect that every taxpayer in America should OBEY the whims of the illegal Chicago Thug that stole the presidency! It must be your opinion that no one has ANY rights except the democrats! And you are fully aware that the communists are in control of the democrat party, and by that all of America. In your opinion it is a crime to resist! That makes you a liberal leftist! Show me different!

Where do you come from ? That defunding bill never was passed . The republicans in the house drafted a new bill to keep the government going with out the ACA defunding words in it !
Besides that : A budget is supposed to originate from the Whitehouse and go to the House and Senate to be approved. That has not happened in the last 5 years!
Harry Reid would have gladly shut the government down and blamed it on the house !
When the House saw that the Senate would not even vote or amend the bill and pass it back to the House , they pushed the funding bill through the House to keep the government funded . I don't see where the Senate and Harry Reid did any thing on the bill that withheld funding of ACA except sit on it ! The House relented and took the defunding of ACA out. Not the Senate !
Show me a Obama budget he submitted in the last 5 years ?
Fact of the matter we could probably get along quite well, without the Federal government , if the states had the money the fed's get from taxes !
Since there is no checks and balances any more in Washington , Its Harry and Nancy's way or no-way !

Sad enough Big Mac , the people have voted these lame ducks into office. The masses don't even pay attention to current events let alone what their vote causes or how how it didn't effect policy, matter of fact the average voter of the left has not a clue and could not even recite who they voted for.

Those like Franken are sitting in a bad stop and he knows it. Not only does the law itself hurt them delaying it just shows how bad it really is.

To them and the Democrat Party, they rely on dumb people - the dumber, the better. Go into any major inner-city where the graduation rates are 30% or less and you will see who has a lock on the electorate (around 96% Democrat);

If you vote Democrat, you don't have to be dumb, just gullible enough to believe the leadership's line of crap and lazy enough to not verify their claims;

If you vote Democrat, you don't have to be dumb, but you won't bite the hand that feeds you. The Democrat Welfare Plantation provides a great existence if you turn a blind eye to blight, gangs, crime, murder, drugs, illegitimacy, corruption, deplorable schools and misery. You teach your kids how to access the welfare rolls instead of teaching them to reach for the ladder of success. Schools could be deplorable, but you know you don't have to have a PHd to fill out the forms to get free housing, food stamps, medical, etc.

If you vote Democrat, you could be a member of the uber-wealthy class of people and/or a member of the academe. Somehow in your twisted view of the world, you think someday you will be appointed as one of the taskmasters who will help the government control the masses. You teach young people a world-view based on communism where everyone is equal, America is evil and the god of big government knows best for society.

If you have voted Democrat in the past and have come to realize you have been played for being a fool, you will find many Republicans and Tea Party members who would welcome you to their meetings. Chances are many of the people who welcome you at the door have done the same thing as you, but came to understand they were taught a failed mindset which not only destroys families, it also wrecks communities and our country. You can help them change things for the better (most polls show some 80% or more believe we are headed in the wrong direction).

Ipnmajor,
Sounds a little bit like someone doesn't want to admit the Democrats were wrong about the necessity for extending the start dates back when the Republicans proposed it. They were/are wrong about much more than the start date!

The whole law really ought to be REPEALED and the citizens allowed the freedom to chose what they want. The taking away the right to choose your own policy is nothing but pure tyranny, and it seems some in our midst are OK with that.

After Repeal of this law, a new "law" or "program/action" (covering a limited number of people) could be taken to get health care provided to those who "can't afford health care insurance", without infringing on the citizens right to choose and without taking control of the entire health insurance industry. (Expand/Redefine Medicaid?)

I would agree that the government might have the right to require the insurance companies to offer certain prescribed coverage in insurance policies but a free people must have the right to buy (or not buy) the prescribed policies if they choose, and any law shouldn't prohibit the people from buying other policies agreed to between the people and their insurance company.

You do understand that Obamacare prohibits the buying of any policy with other coverage not specifically defined by the government ? And everyone must buy health care insurance under penalty of law? Thus all the cancellations of "junk" (as defined by the government) policies that were bought on the free market, thereby creating the disruption of coverage for tens of millions of citizens.

Should the federal government have this much control over your life and businesses in this free enterprise nation ? When the businesses go along with it, it is called Crony Capitalism, never ends well for the citizens.
What is next ?

Not really sure the government should be requiring anything, this could lead to what you drive like the old USSR with the people's car the Volga. Government has no business in business.
