I am a bit surprised at the response on this thread. Those of you with TS/SCI should not be participating in this conversation, even if you are retired. It's no one's business to know your job description and your clearance level, especially if you are still active.

Well,
It seems there's a bunch of us old vets who knew what
a Top Secret Clearance was and how hard they were to get.
You were vetted and in my case they checked with
neighbors and my high school teachers, arrest records etc.

In my case, I was forbidden to leave the States for 2 years upon separation.

I still maintain that what the Future Commander-in-Chief of our Armed Forces did
was grossly wrong and she should not be allowed to be the CEO or Pres. of the US Inc.
She maintains an attitude of " What difference does it make " and anyone who votes
for her is a fool! I know any serviceman who had a Top Secret clearance won't!!!(:

I think what's really got American's upset is the disparity of what the
'elitists' can get away with and the 'Un Justness' of our Rule of Law.
It just isn't fair and just for HRC to get away with what she did yet
lock up a serviceman in Ft Levenworth prison in KS for some minor
violation.

How did Clinton come in to this? I said that those with security clearances earned in the military won't be blabbing classified material on OPP. Jeez! Get a life! Not everything is about Clinton! Besides, the day I say anything positive about Clinton, is the day I've been taken over by extraterrestrials.

A top secret, or any other level of clearance, is for life. Or, at least, the penalty for screwing the pooch is. You may no longer have access to classified data, but you are still required to maintain secrecy about what you already know, until the day you die.
