There is no greater love than to lay down your life for your brother. I think I read that in the Bible somewhere.

You were fine until you mentioned Jesus and tried to claim some moral high ground the logic in your arguement does not merit at the end.

AND LEARN TO WRITE COMPLETE SENTENCES!

And the Eagles sucked then, suck now, and the Eagles will forever suck especially that sucking chest wound "Hotel California." Damn! Damn, they sucked. Name one! One! Desparados? Duelin' Daltons?

Do you want to know what I think of the Eagles? They suck. Why not "A Horse With No Name" by America? Same shit and it sucked. It even sounds like the Eagles. Damn, damn. Sucks.

What we wish to avoid by arms is what we promote by arming ourselves as a supposed deterrent. It can only endlessly escalate. But it is what our heart and mind bring to the question of choosing to bear arms against the possible threat of violence that we side with violence as a way of life. We endorse murder and we endorse the continuation of the slaughter of innocence. The path away from this choice is extremely difficult but the only solution to end the madness. Jesus laid down his life and we must be willing to do the same.

Be my guest. You don't mind if I defend my own?

Being prepared is life's key to survival, and your bible will tell you so. Being prepared in this world is to be armed and ready to the point that it scares the hell out of your enemies and thus causes him to leave you alone. That's why you run from the bully, you're afraid of what he may be able to do to you. In your case, being unarmed and unprepared, you are the low hanging fruit for the bully, so you deserve what he does to you. Guns are just mindless tools like knives or hammers, they don't kill anyone without the guidance provided by people. People kill people, with or without guns. The police will arrive in time to clean up the mess and take care of the paperwork and red tape. If you want to increase your chances of getting killed, frequent "Gun Free Zones" or drive a car or spend more time with your doctor and his medical associates like big pharma. Yes, we are our own worst enemy, because we stick our heads in the sand and remain ignorant of our surroundings and complacent. So, be blissful in your ignorance. Have a nice day.

You probably won't need your gun when fishing or out in the sticks, you'll need it in town where most of the crazies and fanatics are. As to doing what's legal, we now have so many laws on the books that it is very hard to find anything that is actually legal to do, so the government makes damned near everything "their business!" Good luck with your CCW.

JFlorio wrote:
What you call hate and fear some call being prepared and common sense. Jesus did lay down his life for us. What's that got to do with wanting to protect yourself and family? I'm surprised actually that you are a believer. Look rumitoid I have a certain number of guns locked in my gun safe. Soon I will get my concealed carry. Won't carry it all that much except when fishing out in the sticks. It is none of your business or the governments what I do legally!

??????

We have the right to defend ourselves - if we as a species did not exercise this right we would not be here today.
You my friend are a pacifist evolutionary dead end which is fine - that is your choice.

But your passive aggressive behavior (ie. You don't want to have to use force yourself to dominate others, you want to use armed thugs from the government to use force in your name to dominate others) is dishonest and darkly twisted no matter how you try to justify it or dress it up in pretty words and hollow platitudes.

You my friend are a coward.

EXACTLY... I don't have a gun, but I support ANYONE who thinks they want a gun and HAS THE 2ND AMENDMENT RIGHT TO HAVE ONE...

Take the children and yourself
And hide out in the cellar
By now the fighting will be close at hand
Don't believe the church and state
And everything they tell you
Believe in me, I'm with the high command

Can you hear me, can you hear me running?
Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you?

There's a gun and ammunition
Just inside the doorway
Use it only in emergency
Better you should pray to God
The Father and the Spirit
Will guide you and protect from up here

Can you hear me, can you hear me running?
Can you hear me running, can you hear me calling you?

Swear allegiance to the flag
Whatever flag they offer
Never hint at what you really feel
Teach the children quietly
For some day sons and daughters
Will rise up and fight while we stand still

A song from "Mike and the Mechanics"

Added the rest of the song.
This is where we are headed if we don't stop the Obama/Hillary/Bush/Ryan-Romney sell out of America right F'ing now.

I'm voting for Trump 2016.
