"They stabbed it with their steely knives, but they just could not kill the beast,"

Or as Pogo put it, "We have met the enemy...and it is us." What is the beast in us? Hate and fear. The beast will do anything to keep us safe. And it all seems very logical and practical and justified. Common sense and wise. A matter-of-fact of course. More guns and more guns and more guns. Unlimited ammo. Laws that make it easier to kill people, such as the "stand your ground law" in a number of states, are considered prudent. We, each one of us, is the "beast," as long as we let hate and fear dictate the terms of our existence. Weaponizing ourselves perpetuates the root of violence. What we wish to avoid by arms is what we promote by arming ourselves as a supposed deterrent. It can only endlessly escalate. But it is what our heart and mind bring to the question of choosing to bear arms against the possible threat of violence that we side with violence as a way of life. We endorse murder and we endorse the continuation of the slaughter of innocence. The path away from this choice is extremely difficult but the only solution to end the madness. Jesus laid down his life and we must be willing to do the same.

That is beautiful , When you get to utopia get back to me ..last time I checked ISIS Muslims beheaded a priest in the name of Allah .. Why don't you go preach and spread your message to them , convince them to stop then get back to me.. In the meantime I will be armed and train and prepare to defend & destroy them or any thug who threatens our way of life . Have you gotten to utopia yet ? NO ,, get back to me .. BTW , I will not hold my breath ..

If I were she, I would be afraid of him too.

rumitoid... Seeing as Your Severe Restrictions Have Been Proven To Not Work (Chicago is a Excellent Example)... It stands to Reason, OTHER MEASURES MUST BE TAKEN...

We can drastically reduce Armed Violence by simply doing away with ALL Parole Systems and Sentence Convicted Armed Violent Criminals to Life Imprisonment... Is this Costly?!? Very... But the Cost of Human Life Lost Is Worse...

Well, it's hard for Hillary. Trump just lets out whatever he's thinking. She can't do that because she might tell the truth by mistake.

What you call hate and fear some call being prepared and common sense. Jesus did lay down his life for us. What's that got to do with wanting to protect yourself and family? I'm surprised actually that you are a believer. Look rumitoid I have a certain number of guns locked in my gun safe. Soon I will get my concealed carry. Won't carry it all that much except when fishing out in the sticks. It is none of your business or the governments what I do legally!

I got no problem if they hate guns and don't want one and prefer to take a chance. I do have a problem with their I know what's best for everyone and since I know what's best and I don't like guns therefore you shouldn't have a gun.

As soon as I run out of lead or copper. We have gun free zones where many mass killings occur so how did that work out
