It would have to be VERY magical; however, the 47% do believe the President is magical.

No ma'am, it is not my Friday. It must be the moon, I completely missed banjo's statement, now I'm asking rhetorical questions...., perhaps I'm still recuperating.

You have a fixation and unhealthy obsession with the moon.

No they would not. Liberals solve problems by throwing large amounts of someone else's money at them. People who spend their own money are somewhat more frugal, usually.

Ok, with that said, for how long would they put up with it?

Especially when all that one sees is the rampant abuse of the system. It is now, in some states, it pays more to be a single mother of two, between the ages of 1 and 4, than it does to have a full time 40 hour a week job at $19 an hour, with benefits. Where is the incentive for them to get off the dole ?

Dang!! another rhetorical question.

That's not true. As a liberal (and working class stiff) I have been on both sides of the question. I don't have any problem paying my taxes. I don't know where you get the idea that only conservatives pay taxes. Or that I am unwilling to pay for what I believe in.
And I certainly pay more taxes than many billionaires, like GE since they are now considered people and receive gov't rebates.
I do put my money where my mouth is...unlike other 'people'.

I did not say that you were unwilling. I opined that the average Liberal is far more comfortable spending someone else's money. Nice work, if you can get it. I did not include you in any disparaging remark.

I agree with some of your comments but why this need to divide people into such strict chequerboard squares. It may be emotionally satisfying to divide the world into the good guys and the bad guys but we live now in an incredibly complex world, technologically, socially and politically. I find myself in agreement with different issues from all political sides at different times and so do many of my pragmatic contemporaries in the independent middle. Does that place us on either the black squares or the white or is there room for some nuance in all this?

Several states Massachusetts, Hawaii and though not a state D.C. are the biggest offenders of this. You can research it, but I recommend holding your nose as you read any articles.

Hawaii is number 1 and Mass. is number 3, in welfare payouts.

Check yours brother. Look at my previous posts about Heritages Stuart Butler.
It's in the congressional record 1993 about how they advocated for the Goverment to pay for indigent care, mandate etc.

No one is all good or bad. All people are varying shades of pastel. Most tend toward one shade or another. I have no quarrel with intelligent disagreement. I respect those who work, or if retired, did work for what they have, even when I disagree. I fling insults also, but I don't think I have ever initiated a confrontation. I don't think. Rumitoid and I disagree frequently. We also do this civilly, (mostly). We at least converse intelligently.

Are you suggesting that because someone at the Heritage Foundation once advocated something it is thereby validated?
