To all the liberals on One Political Plaza who advocate (or even agree with) Marxism. Please stand up and be recognized.

Don't worry this isn't McCarthy here and most of you are anonymous on this site anyway. I've just been hearing so much about you lately but it's all coming from your freedom-loving opponents. I know there aren't a lot of liberals here but you've ALL been accused. So, why don't you stand up and say something?

You see, every communist movement I have so far read about features a very pronounced loyalty to the ideas that define communism. So I don't understand why the American communist movement is so... quiet.

Can anyone explain this?

I don't think it matters who you vote for. Either you vote for one of the two big parties which both inflate the government, or you use your vote as a symbolic "no", in which case you just let others decide which of the two Big Parties will get to inflate the government next.

For better or worse I think Big Government is the natural result of a Big Democracy. We have over 300 million people in this country.

Maybe the answer is to break the democracy up into smaller countries. We might get better representation that way. I dunno... You're asking a Big Question.

One hand you're using political parties to connect ideologies across history and on the other hand you're admitting that political parties change their stripes. Yes, the Democrats supported slavery and almost all the KKK were Democrats but the stripes they were wearing at the time were the stripes of conservatism. The Republicans for the most part, represented the liberals in the North with their big cities and talk about equality. Even the Progressive movement sprung from the Republican Party while negotiating deals with workers in the industrial North. But you're right, the Democrats did change their stripes... but not until after WW2 when they started to support issues in civil rights which really pissed off their Southern conservative constituents, triggering factions like the "Dixiecrats". Then came Barry Goldwater, Richard Nixon and their "Southern Strategy" where they played on the racist sentiments of Southern conservatives and successfully converted them into Republicans where they still preserve their racist bullshit to this day.

So yes, political parties change their stripes... So don't use election-driven parties to connect deep-rooted ideologies. In fact, getting back to your response to my comment about equal rights being my agenda. I didn't say it was the Democratic agenda, I said it was MY agenda. That's a significant difference because I'm not even a Democrat.

Glaucon, are you that dense that you thought anything I posted had to do with the question straight up asked? Please tell me you didn't take what I said seriously. I was merely injecting nonsensical sentences in a post. I bet three of my buddies on here I could say mere gobbledygook on a post that anyone in their right mind knows was a red Herring. But the one thing I put in there was true, the marxists in America aren't organized. And I thought you were in academia. You see the kinds of papers our college kids are getting away with. And the on thing that you apparently meant as other than a joke was that the Marxists in America are not organized.
