Anyway, that is a concept that permeates most cultures.
The Tao of Lao-Tzu symbolizes what you say.

Because we were born with a sin nature and no one would go to heaven without someone paying the penalty for our sins ( Jesus) no one who sins and hasn't received God's forgiveness can go there. And that decision has to be made personally when you realize you are a sinner. Young people who die before they are capable of choosing are covered by Jesus blood automatically as they didn't get the chance to choose.

Thank You for confirming we are born sinless based on Jesus’ sacrifice on the Holy CRoss.

Catholics have the Sacrament of Confession to have our sins forgiven or retained.
Jesus handed this power to His Apostles.

I did not in any way say we were born sinless,it is literally stated in the bible the oppisite,we are born in sin. Thru Adam sin was brought into the world by his disobedience. Thus we now need a savior for forgiveness of that sinful nature. You misunderstood my post.

Wow. Your first post isn’t biblical at all.

Do you really not know why Jesus was crucified? REALLY? They do explain it in Catholic school. You claimed you were ‘trained in theology’ for 14 years yet don’t know this? Hmmmmm

This person claims they went through 7 years of Jesuit education! That is a VERY rigorous course in Catholicism and Christianity. And there aren't many places that offer a Jesuit education, either. (I think there are only around 60-70 high schools in the whole country, and only a hundred or so colleges that offer Jesuit education. There aren't that many Jesuits anymore! There were only 28 of them ordained last year in the US and there are only around 15,000 Jesuits in the entire world! I have a cousin who was a Jesuit priest. He died in 2019. I know what he had to go through to become one.)

And this person who calls themself a Christian AND a Catholic and who claims they were educated by Jesuit priests doesn't know why Jesus Christ was crucified!!

Something is WAY off with this particular fairy tale!

I perceive from many on this site that they believe Mankind is born inherently EVIL.

Am I correct?

TJKMO, I am not a Christian, so I can not comment on your post. The Old Testament seems to say that man is not perfect. He sins, but if he admits his sins to G-d, and tries to repent he will be forgiven his sins. It also divides the world into good, and wicked. In the end of days, the wicked will be destroyed.

So, his life and death were meant to be an example.

So for you it is NOT about his Redemption of Man.

What religious sect believes that he did not have a role as both an example of living the Good Life AND CHRIST THE REDEEMER?

Your sect is not what I learned in 14 years of theology steeped in Christianity.

TJ appears to be playing a game. I find it sad. I went to Catholic school for 12 years and we were taught the basics.

I disagree.

Jesus died on the Cross do erase the sin of Adam and Eve.

That was part of his mission.

This is said many ways in the In Revelation 1:5, John writes that Jesus “washed us from our sins in his own blood.” Sins are not cleansed by the water. But by the blood. However, it is in the act of baptism that God applies the blood of Jesus to wash away our sins. Jesus' shed blood on the cross is essential to our salvation.”

That is good enough for me . I am not Jewish but I have the ancestry . I believe heaven awaits for all who believe in the one God the creator above us all .
