As gas prices soar, Americans can blame Joe Biden
https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/as-gas-prices-soar-americans-can-blame-joe-biden/ar-BB1ehNtJ President Biden is already boosting oil prices, and he's barely gotten started.
Biden is frantic to help Americans hard-hit by COVID-19, or so he says. But while his $1.9 trillion "American Rescue Plan" would send cash to millions, much of that windfall may go to pay for higher gasoline and home heating prices.

Americans should blame Biden, but not for the reason you might think. Biden's attack on U.S. energy producers, starting with his freeze on federal oil and gas leases, will assuredly take a toll on output down the road and cause prices at the pump to rise.
But today, Biden has pushed those prices, which were already rising because of severe weather, even higher by gratuitously alienating Saudi Arabia. The Gulf kingdom just surprised energy markets by announcing it would not raise oil output, despite developing supply constraints and rising prices. Oil prices jumped on the news, popping 4 percent to pre-pandemic levels for the first time in a year; the surge rattled markets already nervous about rising inflation.
The Saudis are reminding Biden that they can be a valuable ally or a formidable foe.
In his fever to undo every vestige of the Trump presidency, Biden has undermined the extraordinary

Try and think,,, you curse Biden for halting the Keystone, you insist that drove up prices at the pump.... but the Keystone pipeline never moved any gas or oil..
Want to explain your logic a bit on the impossible non-fact you hold so dear??

Oil company capital spending has been dropping since the mid-2010s, making it hard to ramp up new production quickly as economy rebounds.
Wall Street has pressed oil and gas producers to cut capex, and shift their cash to financial goals like paying down debt and boosting dividends, as well as de-carbonization, after investment in fracking led to billions in negative cash flow.
About half of last year’s lost production has returned, but prices will stay high until domestic producers pump more, or OPEC nations make a change in their production quotas.

Lord Eagle... darn.. no president has been able to tell big oil what to do.. the only thing Biden has done which affected price at the pump was to loan some of our strategic supply to big oil..
that resulted in the lowering of prices we saw in December..
It is now once more in the hands of wall street... Up or down,, it is done by wall street not the President.. no matter who he is or what party he claims to be be with..

The Keystone never moved a gallon of oil/gas so shutting it down had zero effect on oil availability it is a good thing to note the hazards it posed have been stopped..
Line 5 got passed by claiming it was repair not new, yet the route in Minnesota was all new and included taking land from people opposed to the usage..
Big oil usually gets its way so the Keystone victory should be much celebrated..
Nothing ever moved a gallon of oil until it was built. Markets move on future events.
