I dispute your argument in the strongest terms imaginable. You give a cute color bar graph which I'm supposed to take on your word for it's accuracy. That's total fracking crap. I don't give two craps about TOTAL government subsidies because that is misleading. You know what misleading means, don't you ? It means an attempt to deceive. Since non green energy still makes up most of US energy production, naturally they would get more total subsidies.

That my friend is totally, absolutely, undeniably, irrelevant and beside the point. The relevant measure of government subsidies is the amount of subsidies per unit of energy. Now I do not cite " oil today " or something. I cite Forbes, which I hope and pray that you will accept as a credible source.

And the price war OPEC and Russia waged against American shale oil/gas..

The price war put nearly all shale oil off the market..

Big oil will take its darn time returning to lower prices, although we have seen some lowering even this last month, it will be fought tooth and nail before they will lower much more..

The Keystone never moved a gallon of oil/gas so shutting it down had zero effect on oil availability it is a good thing to note the hazards it posed have been stopped..

Line 5 got passed by claiming it was repair not new, yet the route in Minnesota was all new and included taking land from people opposed to the usage..

Big oil usually gets its way so the Keystone victory should be much celebrated..
