For me, the entire approach to improving the environment is all wrong. Threats of pending doom and OMG drastic action are counterproductive. It is logical to take a positive approach of improving how we effect our air, land and water through innovation and superior engineering.
The world economy operates on cheap energy with predictable supply. When cheap energy becomes expensive, regardless of reason, you can count on inflation and discomfort and supply interruptions.
Many of you enviro-fooks are not willing to suffer much for you cause. Maybe throw up a China made solar panel or buy a Tesla (electricity generated by coal, lignite or natural gas) to absolve you personal guilt. Instead you want me to suffer. You don’t want to ride the bus or train to work, you want me to so you have more room on the freeway. To that I say FTS.

Pure Hogwash, but to give some validity to your post, an ice age may come some day, but after we are all dead.
As the earth would have to accumulate so much CO2 in the air that it would begin to block out the sun's rays, not sure what condition the planet would be in at that point, it might be a giant dust bowl, from the heat and dehydration having killed all the life out of the earth, which had turned into a giant convection oven. The earth would be somewhere more along the line of it's beginning creation. It wouldn't be the beautiful blue and green as we know it, but brown and blue. It may even recover some day millions of years away.
But lets not worry about that, lets continue to spew as much pollution along with its co2 into the air as possible, because we don't have to be responsible for anything we do, as far as putting into the environment, who cares about droughts, hurricanes, tornadoes, and fires. We want to do what we want, period. Profit first! Damn it! Wake up!

Alber, My understanding is that sparrows are not native to North America. They are replacing many native American species like bluebirds. While I don't like any technology that is a danger to some species, it is far better than global warming, which threatens all species. There is a real problem that should be easy to fix.
Just check out, species threatened by global warming on google, and many sights on the internet that give an explanation are given.
