I was watching news today and images of these kids screaming at NRA President Trump "Blood is on your hands!!!"..Today was National Walk Out Day...What it really should of been National Walk In Day...Teachers should of say to kids instead of screaming and calling people that dont agree with you all kinds of names why dont you kids stay in school, finish graduate and then if you want to change the world go into politics...and change it!!!.....Right now kids are doing dirty job of DNC!!! Of course what happened in Florida was horrible, but its not an isolated thing...It happened many times before, so my question is why Congress didnt do anything when Columbine happened, when Sandy Hook happened, when Polytech happened??Do you really think you gonna get rid of NRA??..Not a chance of these happening!!! 5 million members strong and counting!!!Do you really think you gonna get rid of all the guns??? There are 11 million guns out there....What we all need to do is remember what family used to be...For example in my family my parents knew who my sister's and mine friends were,,also we had real conversations at the dinner table..I know all my son's friends. But now in age of social media i understand how hard it is to keep with your teen, but we as parents have to, we dont have a choice!!Also you need to talk to your kids about bullying...We all been bullied at some point of our lives and its not fun!! i know i have been there..So teach your kids to stand up to bullies and protect those kids that cant protect themselves...Maybe then all this horrible nightmare will go away..Its up to us, adults to do something about it, and let kids study, go to school without being afraid of not coming home....I bet you most of these kids on TV probably dont know anything about the world..I bet they cant tell you how many continents there are, or where Uganda is, but they sure do know how to yell and call people names on TV...Its a shame that us grown ups didnt teach them better...So Congress this is your wake up call !!Do your job, and dont expect kids do yours!!!

I just asked my 21 year old. He didn't know the number until he counted them (from memory) and he knew Uganda was in Africa. I have great faith in the youth of our nation. And it is the job of citizens to complain to Congress when they aren't doing their job.

Because they can't vote, they have to resort to shouting. Good for them.

You know i have this story to tell..When i came to the States from Russia, i went to high school in a small town in Louisiana.....When kids asked me where i was from, because i didnt speak good English back then,i told them i was from Russia..and their answer was i kid you not..."Isnt Russia is like in America?"........So now seeing how dumb some people in Congress are i bet these were the kids that thought Russia was part of America....Hilarious isnt it???

I also have great faith in the youth of our nation. That is, as soon as they spend a few years serving in the military, raising a family, buying a home, paying bills and all the other things they have no clue about because they've never had to do them.
I remember the first Earth Day. There were massive walkouts or kids just didn't go to school. We got stoned, got laid, played some ball, listened to music and damn little trash got picked up, yet our media-sanctioned hookey playing was glorified by the media and we were the hope of the future. Our most common response was "huh?"
By the way, your 21 year old is not a high school kid. Most 21 year olds at least have the decision making part of their brains fully developed; 16 year olds almost never do. This is established medical fact. I have no problem raising the age of buying firearms to 21. I personally think they should raise the voting age to 21 or even 25, except for military personnel.
Don't make the mistake of allowing teenagers to dictate policy. You don't do it in your home but you are willing to allow it for your country?

Most people don't let teenagers run their household, much less their country. But then, Liberals are not really big on accepting responsibility.

Hey they are the ones dying so they've earned the right to speak. If you think that's running the household then you don't know what the fuk you are talking about...

And where did you have Earth Day? My remembrance of Earth Day is nothing like yours but then mine wasn't built on hyperbole but the truth--sadly I didn't get laid or stoned and I suspect neither did you...

They are also the leading cause of texting related traffic injuries and fatalities. Why no protests about that? Let's ban cellphones for teenagers. Teens are also guilty of causing far more traffic accidents. Why is that? Inexperience, immaturity, decision making parts of the brain are not fully developed yet. Let's raise the driving age to 21. You are pretty selective about these noble teenagers and how they have "earned a right." Teens die in far greater numbers from stupidity while operating a motor vehicle. Let's see some walkouts about that.

I had mine on Earth. How about you? I suspect you were not even a teenager on the first Earth Day. I suspect your remembrance of the first Earth Day is nothing like mine because you weren't there.

When they stage walkouts to protest the number of texting and driving, DUI, and other teen caused traffic accidents and fatalities then I will happily support them.
Why do you think most states charge more to insure teen drivers?

They get to choose what they protest, why don’t you protest cell phones? Besides most states have regulated the use of cell phones when driving. These young people seem to want what a majority of Americans want, universal background checks, keeping firearms away from violent or mentally ill people and restrictions on assault weapons.
