The Founding Fathers had a great idea, and they created it in the Constitution. They made one mistake, which gave us politicians. Politicians gave us this mess. It is based on the changes that the politicians forced upon us through guile and deception. All we have to do is undo what they did, and fix the original mistake. Simple really.

Don't we wish it was that simple? short of revolt. I'll give it a shot to attempt to make some sense.

We often hear laments that our politicians no longer honor their pledge to preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. This is backward. The Constitution was never written for politicians(think about this). Our political leaders have no motivation to abide by a two hundred year old restraining order. Americans must enforce the supreme law of the land. The first outsized words of the Constitution read We the People. < It’s our document. It was always meant to be ours, not the government’s. It is each and every American’s obligation to preserve, protect, and defend the Constitution of the United States.

I hope this makes a decent point.

Congress is not supposed to Spend. Politicians could not live with the assigned powers they were given in Article One; Section 7 and so approached the President and devised a new division of powers. My Dad claimed he was in the room when it happened. Our current Government allows the President to bring the Agenda and then implement it, while Congress denies the IRS but splits up the money and brings it home to their favorite constituents. That is just too cozy.

No,congress is not supposed to.since when have any one of them cared for anyone but themselves,
let alone constituents?
they do not care if this country is barely limping along as long as their pockets get lined.
the IRS we thought were supposed to be watchdogs who tax those that need taxing and issues refunds to those who have it coming,I admired Walter.too cozy is right.
what We need is a million man march on D.C. for We The People saying we are sick of them kicking our
constitution to the curb WE want back was IS rightfully ours not government's and to follow all the rules therein set forth but we both know that is never going to happen.
if wishes were horses beggars would ride.

The Constitution is a beautifully dense construct. In its short body it weaves dozens of legislative mechanisms together. I wish we had the minutes of the Style Committee. They did a masterful job.

I agree with all of that, and so do the fathers of our country. They wanted the Citizen to be the sovereign. My view is that no one will represent you better than you will, through your selection of like minded employees who will work tirelessly to protect and advance your needs and goals. That is what America is supposed to be. It is not that now. So, the hole is, "What to do?" What are we? What is the goal? What does success look like?

The World is in constant flux.
We need Government to keep changing & adapting to those changes.

Our Government has been changing, But not adapting well to the changes.

The Founding Fathers showed great insight.
But while much of their insight was good.
The World they lived in was not as complex as it is to day.

America was a big open space with room for individuals to grow & prosper.
That growth came at a great cost to the indigenous population.
Perhaps for the first time on Earth there was a bit of empathy for current residents.
It was a less than desirable effort. It has left a scar on this country.

But for those who escaped the hardships of Foreign Nations opportunities where boundless.
Most were able to get a piece of land & able at least able to eke out a living.
With time & great effort great gains were made.

With time & not using the highs moral standards some people gained more.

Through it all it was felt by many that it was the Right for some to gather more by what ever means they could.
(I say it was because of the openness of the Constitution was interoperated by some as their right to use what ever means they could to gain more)
This today is at the heart of the problems we face. The means of production are in the control of The Few Big Money Players.

So we are being controlled by those with the least empathy for others.

We have had two sides to the issue (Right & Left)
A political ideal to balance issues. of fairness in life.
This has turned into two sides of Rich & Poor. (Have & have Not)

This idealism is placed in some who cling to the belief that those with the most will do right with them if they support the Monied Few.

NOW THE WORLD IS IN A STRANGLE HOLD BY THE FEW.

We the people need to form a United Front to counteract the hold over us by the Few.

I say we need to retain our individual identity, but seek the return of power to the individual people.
It has to be done with out any Political Party system.
We need to vote for the Individual as an Individual

I take question with your line:
Through your selection of like minded employees who will work tirelessly to protect and advance your needs and goals.

I feel it should read: To protect & advance our needs & goals/
We already have too much or Me Me first & only

I say that there is so much room in the World today to advance for some one who will put Customers & Employees first.
That is perhaps the only way that the system will become the system we want.
