We are at a time & place that it is the Few that win & most will only break even at best.
There is a big hole in your logic.

No It don't have to be about winning or losing.

It is about having a system that creates the best situations for people to live with.
The more people involved the better.
There being more for some is fine.
But some going with out important items of life is not.

To think & believe it is not & people deserve to lose is counter to any reason for human life.
Human life can only have redeeming value if there is cooperation.
Just how do you address who wins & who loses. ... (show quote)

I agree with all of that, and so do the fathers of our country. They wanted the Citizen to be the sovereign. My view is that no one will represent you better than you will, through your selection of like minded employees who will work tirelessly to protect and advance your needs and goals. That is what America is supposed to be. It is not that now. So, the hole is, "What to do?" What are we? What is the goal? What does success look like?

That is true. It is like a tree. It grows into a tree because it started from a tree seed. The seed of this Government was planted October 20, 1789. What was wrong with that seed? What were we supposed to become? What are you looking at?

in a nutshell nothing went wrong with the seed.it was just that Government got too big,we were supposed to follow what the constitution says and relays " that a country that operates outside of prosperity" aka production will be doomed once it's debt takes on a life of its own, which is where we are now And Special Interests( there ought to be a law ) are not helping the cause any only looking out for themselves along with the select few collective heads of knuckle who allowed them in in the first place.it is sad really.

Are Special Interests really bad? They look out for (represent) their clients. I wish we all had such good and effective servants. Our Government grew out of its original seed. There was a flaw which gave us politicians. They gave us squirmy avoidance and Executive branch bloat. Why do we tolerate politicians? Why do we have them anyway? Can you see the seed?

Most of us are & do the right things.
Many people vote for those who's actions are counter to the best interest of the voters.

Many politicians are owned. They care for their boss. They may as well, because they do not have clear assignment. They don't know who voted for them. So, what are they?

in my humble opinion yes,Special Interests are not good.you touch on the very point of why,They represent clients not We The People.our original Government did indeed grow out of its seed I concur.however there have been politicians since the foundation and branches ( seperated). We tolerate them simply because it is unrealistic to think us normal patriotic citizens could do the job better{ without being bought} although for me the jury is still out on that one.the seed that was has been obscured by Big Government And Interests mentioned( special or otherwise as in big pharma).I don't think the country has been in so much peril for decades as it is these days, since the cold wars ended in the 50's. which is a whole other topic.
the bloat you refer to was in fact a campaign promise either un ful filled or forgotten about ( swept under the rug).

Big pharma has been pushing its interests for a century, and it has gotten way far out in front, as have the Democrats. My state is being over run. My position is oppressed. I'm not happy. I am not represented in this government. And, to make it worse they are a bunch of politicians. Mister Smiley will shack your hand, agree with everything you say, and promise to take care of it in three minutes when he walks into the office of the appropriate officer. Of course nothing is ever done. Don't tell me this system works for you? We are lap dogs fawning at the foot of the politician, hoping for a scrap of two. It is sick and sad. So, what is the problem. What did this problem develop out of. What is the seed that caused all of this?

this is True,Big pharma is really big ,too big.it literally owns the FDA,as for that party it has also gone down the same ;if not identical path.my state is likely the opposite of yours,I cater to no one nor any party although registered with one.I feel let down too.oppressed would be a step up from under the bus so NO this system isn't working for ''me''[kind of a drag comes to mind](it is still better than many other countries). We are what we make of the situation[I choose to take a sad song and make it better- Hey Jude],sick and sad are also understatements,in two words Greed and money is the problem.greedy politicians(all 545 of them). the problem has been developing for years.it's called deceit.exactly when is also a good question, methinks the seed was planted/nurtured as mentioned before in the 50's when the country threw prosperity under the bus and elected to go with a credit system instead of shall we say '' living within our means'' is my guess as to the root cause.
Now we are paying the piper and truthfully we cannot even pay the interest - yet we find a way to shore up any place else that needs help?truly frustrating.

We are the Only so called civilized nation that Does Not take care of it's OWN first?think about that for a minute, you will or should come to the same conclusion.
wish I could end on a lighter note but me being me I call it like I see it.

Good job. My Daddy came to me in 1973 and said, "The Government can no longer stimulate the economy, because we are no longer a creditor nation. We are now a debtor nation." It was 71 we were forced to drop the Gold Standard. The slide started in 1913. At that time we had 6000 tons of Gold saved in Fort Knox. We have blown through that and borrowed the entire worth of our nation, so we are in hock for 100% of our total worth. Everyone owes the value of their house to the national debt. It is not irretrievable yet, but we have to stop the trend. So what is the cause? What is wrong with this Government? What do we have to fix? What is the seed that grew into this monster?

your dad was more than right.my brother in law was stationed at Fort Knox, besides being the company cook kept watch
on the fort, even he said he was told there's not much in it anymore according to a commanding officer briefing.oddly enough the fed was created in 1913 by bankers.not one elected official in the bunch, there still isn't.they have been printing money out of thin air for years now.it goes by the name of quantitative easing,it's sad because the more they print the worse it is going to be and get so in a way it is irretrievable, the damage has been done. I read about this years ago .it was a topic of both porter stansberry and the Agora network, both went into great detail, they still do.it is not a trend as once thought.
it is basically now written in stone if we're to believe both firms.it is going to get ugly,we just do not know exactly when.
the cause is now part of the effect of printing without backup.what is wrong with this government simply put, they have gone on a spending spree to end all spending sprees .we can't fix what cannot be fixed, what is done is done.
the seed name you are looking for goes by the name GREED which like stupid can't be fixed.
indeed every, man, woman and child in this country would have to come up with a minimum of theirs or their parents home to even make a dent, more likely just to pay down the interest on the principle owed. it is sad but true.

Did you see where the FED is going to retrieve $50 billion each month? That will be such a drag for the economy. Because of this, it is important that we save the $500 Billion that it costs us each year to figure our taxes. This calculation cost, costs us export orders, thus we lose even more. The IRS costs us a trillion dollars each year. It is important to eliminate this unfunded federal mandate. This is an example of a seed that developed into something nasty. What seed created the national debt?

I joined the Agora net work for a while.
For the most part they wanted me to buy into their system.
They would tell me what to do if I paid for their knowledge of the workings of the system.

I view it all as a Ponzi system.
I use my money first for the information & then to help the value of their holdings increase.
A system where the first in, gain the most & the later you are in the more you lose.
They are apart of the real swamp.

Our money is back by all of us.
That is the best possible backing that can be had.
Because most of us really deal with each other.
Trust in each other is the most reliable backing that can be had.

WE HAVE PUT OUR TRUST IN POLITICAL PARTIES.
THAT IS WHERE WE HAVE BEEN SCREWED.

WE LIVE IN A SYSTEM THAT SAYS YOU CAN BE ALL YOU WANT TO BE.
THAT ONLY WORKS FOR THE FEW.

Most of us will be limited in how many wants we can have.
It is time to stop making some extremely wealthy & start seeing that the basic needs of most are being met.
This Nation was founded because people didn't want to be taxed with out representation.

I say that is where we are to day.
We are taxed to support a Nation where the Few gain the most & the needs of many are ignored.

So I say I have enough to met my needs & have few extra wants.
There are serious needs for many & much unrest in the world.
We are not looking at the mess that face's us with clear vision.
What will happen will not be in our best interest if we do not offer our true belief's of what we would like to see.

If we are unable to come up with what it is we all could agree on a small site like this what hope is there to find it in the World as a whole?
What ever is used to back the money will always be in the hands of those with the control.

The sad thing is we have to pay interest on it.
It is on the backs of every one.
The gains for the most part all pass on to the few.
It has made most a slave to the system.

REMEMBER WE HAVE VOTED FOR THOSE THAT HAVE PUT US IN THIS MESS.

It is how we make & spend our money that offers us the best way to influence the system.

All in all one would have to say we have the system we think we want.

We talk & we bicker but we don't really know the territory.

We will have to put up with what we have until we can sit down & take a true look at what we have.
Only then can we start to do what we really need to do.

More is the pity. Our Government is supposed to be different than what you describe. It is supposed to be the Government that works for our good. All the others own their people, but ours is supposed to be ours. We gave it all of the powers that it needs to work for us. The people who run it wanted to pull the same stuff that other Governments get away with. I am having fun asking politicians to identify the difference between the House of Representatives and the House of Delegates in Virginia. They always say they are the same. Of course they are not. I would not ask the question if they were.

The key words used are supposed to be.what we think should be for all practical purposes is not.
Not even a bad copy of what we think '' Should be''
for the most part I concur with Floyd on many of the points made.
like Agora and Stansberry, both are just looking for investments/investors using scare tactics
that may well come to pass although Ponzi scheme seems more likely.odd how both reach the same conclusion but the tactics vary, not a whole lot but they still do inasmuch as the end results spells trouble for America as a whole.

most if not all the other points made do have both built in truths and facts to back them up.
to reiterate: we will not have solutions until we all come together with the same mindset and goals.
that is good you are questioning,it should in theory bring about transparency? something really not seen at all anymore and that is really a pity. ''it ain't what it used to be'' comes to mind.

The Founding Fathers had a great idea, and they created it in the Constitution. They made one mistake, which gave us politicians. Politicians gave us this mess. It is based on the changes that the politicians forced upon us through guile and deception. All we have to do is undo what they did, and fix the original mistake. Simple really.
