If you need a bible in the hospital, bring your own! The Gideon bibles were stopped quite a few years ago. Have you never heard of Separation of church and state? To my knowledge, most hospitals have a sort of lending library with books that have been donated. Or there is usually a gift shop that sells them. Or you can go to a Catholic hospital if you trust that many of the decisions made there MUST follow the precepts of the church. Or, if you can get to a phone, call someone to bring one to you or do you not have one at home? Sorry the hospital was not able to tend to ALL your needs. Isn't it enough that the hospital and its employees made you well? I also noticed that you were quick to look for anything to blame on President Obama. The best description for you is INGRATE! ! !

Yup.... that old saying is true... "Pride Cometh Before A Fall".... some haven't reached it yet, but time is on their side. All to often we sit and wonder how did we get "here" from "there"..... ? I sit here waiting for my time to come... while every thing in my path seems a bigger obstacle for me to go through... yet I managed to put one foot in front of the other...... hoping HELP is on the way. Living a life of a loner in this house of horrors, I sit and wonder what else can go wrong here..... cause nothing is in my favor. But as you can see... I'm still writing.. so it all can't be bad. Have a Nice Day everyone!!!

Well, thanks to all, I'm sure I'll pull out of it, but pneumonia blows, actually not. Moving very slow today. Just found the completely missing Bibles shocking after just a few short years. I mean when would ones need of Gods grace and Blessing be more needful, more obvious.

I'll include you in my prayers for a speedy recovery. Just as a side note, I traveled extensively, 3 days a week or more, for my company when I was employed, about twenty years ago. At that time every hotel had a Bible in one of the bedside tables. I wonder if that is still the practice..

I hadpneumonia a few times when I was a kid, it seems to come as part of the severely curved spine I was born with . Not fun at all but have not had the problem for years. My thoughts and prayers are with you. May Gods hand be on your shoulder and his comfort be with you always.

Yes... pride do cometh before a fall !! So many of us never think in those terms till it happens to one of us. Right now, I feel like I'm in that 'fall'.... I despise where I live but have no choice. Many a time I stop and ask... Why am I here?..... answer ..... it was meant to be. So I have accepted it. And how was your day?

I don't really cherish living back in Iowa instead of MI., but my girls are here so that was meant to be. When I moved in my house I hated it. It was just a wreck. Surprising what a little elbow grease and some paint can do. Now I love it.
I always thank God at night for the roof over my head, a warm dry bed to sleep in and the food in my tummy. Just sayin....but hope that helps.... : )

Wow, arent we an angry woman. The pride of which I spoke was my own, lost when I arrived at the hospital without socks, not to mention a a Bible.
And on the contrary I was very thankful for the care I recieved. My concern was that something that was once a given, the acknowledgement of Gods hand in all things, was removed. We are all just one breath away from our Maker. Best to acknowledge him while that breath remains.

Well, thank you ,the whole Bible and of coarse I still need it. Home now, looking into alternative treatments mainly cordyceps, maitake, reishi mushrooms and investigating cannabis oil. Quite a bit of documented benefits from the medicinal mushrooms, and I am breathing better. In the end though it is the state of our souls which bears eternal value. God Bless.

Out of the woods, Sorry you're sick. Keep you in my prayers. Last time that I went to the hospital, my husband and daughter brought my Bible, and a few other ther things that I might want when they came to visit me. I didn't know that Bibles used to be in hospital rooms. What I, and a few others that I know, noticed at the hospital, they ask you who your priest.minister, rabbi or Spiritual leader is.One of my friends told me she got very nervous when they asked her that, she wondered if they thought she might die. Just hold onto your faith and know that HIS Spirit is with you where ever you go. And if HE still has work for you to do, you'll be on the earth for as long as He needs you here.

Just came out of hospital myself and guess what! A Gideon Bible in the drawer. This is, however, Mississippi. Pneumonia for me again also. Sorry you weren't here.
