He was a happy dog. You did good by him Paul. Mike

I hope I did, Mike. But however good I was to Mr. Dog, I will always know he gave me much, much more than I ever gave him.

sorry Paul
I have always had a dog until the last one had to be put down
I'm tired of losing my best friends, and I'm fed up with the heart break
sides another one would prolly outlive me
and then (he-She)would be heart broken

If you are afraid hat the dog would outlive you, you could always get an older dog from a rescue group. In many areas there are special rescue groups that specialize in dogs belonging to senior citizens who now have to go into a nursing home. The dogs are usually old, prespoiled and mellow, just what you need.
