And Religion has caused more death than ALL other causes.
With that said, Arthur C Clark explored many aspects and possibilities regarding God. It may take a great deal of reading to find his thoughts but those thoughts Are there.

I believe that we are in the "last days" and only saved and biblically sound true followers of Jesus Christ will be raptured. There will be many "Christians" who will not be raptured and there will be just as many that you wouldn't think in a million years would get raptured that will.

I am a Christian, yet the "last days" shtick has been around forever, and is theologically indefensible. The rapture concept was invented in the early 19th century, and thus is just a pious fiction. God doesn't need gimmicks. I do not believe in hell because that is inconsistent with who God is. Apart from that, all we can do is try to be the best we can and hope for the best.
