If it doesn't help with that, the oxidants will help with others. I recently heard about a help for that but can't remember. If I do, I'll pass along. My understand is it has to do with being allergic to something. Check out what you eat. A friend of mine loved potted meat yet when he ate it he got shingles. Just a thought. Mike

Sorry, wasn't trying to be cranky. Just my opinion. Maybe I am a bit cranky but a gout attack and the pain I'm going through right now might make me a little cranky.
No worries. Gout is pretty painful I hear. I was probably a bit cranky myself. Long hours at work. Truce??

Okay, but without knowing if you intended to address 'E' or moi, I will ask you, my friend: Then, why would you dare post the following..."So tell me. How did 40+ authors write the Bible over a 1500 year period, without any collaboration, without contradicting each other?"
If one is so audacious as to assume no one will fact-check his statements, then he is asking to be put on notice for his mistake(s). I still have ninety-one contradictions from the Bible on my list. IMO, that does not diminish the Bible nearly so much as it does those who err in its name. I still find it probably the most amazing publication in history.

There are no contradictions concerning church doctrine. Only perceived contradictions. This is a result of laziness because most people take them out of context. Post one of your 'contradictions' and well discuss it.

You just proved E's point. We all take our own interpretations of what the scriptures say. Almost every day they are finding new scrolls which throw more light on the truth of the times. Mr. B, this is what I was referencing about you on an earlier blog. Think about it, you'll figure it out. Mike
The Bible says what it says, and there are no major contradictions in it. I stand by that and challenge anyone to prove me wrong.
Outstanding...peace within our lifetimes.

My suggestion, as this is a mostly political blog we leave Religion to the individuals and if you want to argue religion, go to one of those blogs. I was raise Roman Catholic, was an Altar Boy and still believe in some tenets. I am though, anti catholic church and the PEDO pope as well as the prod. churches. They've all become like the political parties and are nothing more than money raising entities. I take great comfort in some of my early learning's from the church which give me solace in believing in Jesus, God's forgiveness and my archangel Michael. If it's hokey pokey, so be it, it gives me solace. That being said, if you want to discuss religion, go to IM. Mike

I for one am off this thread
I do not argue nor discuss religion
We Christians have a problem of the hierarchy of thought processes:
God is first in thought.
Then comes His Guidance and Commandments
Then comes Natural Law, Natural Rights, and Natural Duties
Then comes our Constitution, which reflects Natural Law
And then comes the Common Law.
And only later comes Politics, which must have results that are compatible or non-interfering with Natural Law, and the common law that follows.
Any thought process discussed within the subject of Politics must not due violence to any of the preceding thoughts stated above, or they are ungodly. (This is not to say that we cannot discuss Law and the Constitution, just politics that due harm)
Given these constraints, any discussion of Political thoughts must involve the question of the Political thoughts satisfying the prior conditions established by Religion. Hence you cannot separate Politics from Religion, since it is a integral part of Religion, and a Christian worldview.
This is also why true separation of church and state is not possible, and not called for in our Constitution, although other religions would like it to be so.
This also illustrates the difficulty of political discussions across differing religious views.
A Christian Worldview has the virtue of guidance and direction by God.
