Not all of us have the income that allows for $1 a cup coffee. On the few occasions I eat out, I drink tap water.

Just found it at Costco for $8.75/lb. Methinks we just might have to give it a try!

Chestertown, MD does not have a Costco, although it looks like Costco have a website, so I will think about it after I pay the bills with this month's Social Security check.

I ate at Umbertos Clam House in 1977, the bullet holes fromn the Gallo shooting were still visible at that time, in the funeral home wall. Parking my car was a nightmare, I circled for almost an hour before I got legal spot three blocks away. The cops were super diligent in that area and they didn't just hand out tickets, they "booted" your car. The penalties for breaking the lock were horrendous, even more than the tow and impound fees to get your car back. Plus of course, the parking ticket fine.

Is that the one that the beans are fed to a particular species of animal and the beans are roasted after they come out the other end, having been processed by the animal.?

Cat Poop coffee costs about $350 bucks a pound.

"Kopi luwak is the world’s most expensive coffee. The main factor of it’s high price is the uncommon method of producing such a coffee. It has been produced from the coffee beans which have been digested by a certain Indonesian cat-like animal called the palm civet or also civet cat. This is the reason kopi luwak is also called cat poop coffee or civet cat coffee. The feces of this cat will be collected, finished and sold as kopi luwak."

Yes. But you can surely afford to treat yourself once in a while.

I wonder if we could force feed some house cats with coffee beans in the same way they stuff Geese to make their livers fat (Foie Gras)? Can you picture that, forcing a funnel down a cat's throat and dumping coffee beans into the funnel. That would have to be about a six man detail to hold the cat still. Maybe that is why cat poop coffee is so expensive, it's labor intensive and there are high medical expenses for the cat stuffers.

I'm gonna send that to Trump, it's a new job category. We could use illegal invaders as stuffers and dreamers as cat poop sorters.

An awful lot of people have an exaggerated idea of how much minimal Social Security is, which is less than half of the widely advertised "average". Those who indulge in such things tell me there is a Starbucks about an hour away, but I don't have the gas money to travel that far for a cup of coffee. When the deposit shows up in the bank, I pay the bills outstanding, deduct the bills that are autopaid, and look at the list of oncoming expenses. Since it is rare for small orders to be shipped free, IF I seem to have more than $25 of mad money available, I might try tracking down that costco website to see what the then price would come to, and weigh that against local possible excursions, remembering to factor in my 15 year old vehicle's tendency to need repairs.
