Sorry Jim, but that's not really what he said. Here's the full quote:

"Not every decision is an economic decision. Despite the fact that you recite statistics that are narrow in time, we did provide a 38% shareholder return over the last year. I don't know how many things you invest in, but I would suspect not many things, companies, products, investments have returned 38% over the last 12 months. Having said that, it is not an economic decision to me. The lens in which we are making that decision is through the lens of our people. We employ over 200,000 people in this company, and we want to embrace diversity. Of all kinds."

I'd say he's just being the CEO of an exceptionally large company and all he wants is to keep the peace. I would note that the details in his full quote do hold factual water...

I have no idea where anyone could find some of his earlier statements made a year or two ago...but those statements were a hell of a lot more Gay and Muslim promoting than the quote being used here today. Aside from that, the product is over priced and not worth my buying.

That makes two of us. Nothing wrong with the coffee maker in my kitchen, and it don't cost $10 a cup.

I've always wanted to start my own coffee company. I would sell iced coffee, but with a twist. It would be the best coffee on the planet. Jamaican Blue Mountain Blend. Think people would pay extra for it?

Just look at what they pay at Starbucks. Never heard of Jamaican Blue Mountain Blend before.

Beats me. When my son in was in Afghanistan, we tried to get Starbucks to send coffee to the troops. They didn't back the war or the troops. In NO,La., Community Coffee Co. backed every 40 pounds we bought with another forty and packed and shipped free. They didn't lack for a good old touch of home, mornings and nights. Never ever buy Starbucks. If you bought Starbucks stock, I'm sorry.

It is the best coffee in the world. Robust flavor, and not the least bit bitter. I forget how much much it cost. Something like 34.00 per pound. And it's worth every penny.

The ONLY reason I ever went to Starbucks was for the wifi. They have great wifi, but I found another place just as good. And I have no qualms about giving them my money. It's a great place to hang out, get some excellent food, and surf the internet. In case your interested, the place is McAlisters Deli. If there isn't one in your area, I feel sorry for you. Their King Club is to die for. They also make a pretty mean Reuben Sandwich. Oh, And they also have some pretty decent sweet tea.

Here's the Kid from Brooklyn on Starbucks.. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6DyG60KT-MY If the F bomb bothers you, don't watch....he has a few choice words on other subjects on you tube too. The Kid, tho, is no longer with us and might be entertaining in Heaven...or hell...... depending on your view of the world....

$34.00 a pound? Yikes! I'll stick to my Maxwell House. Not perfect but not $34.00 a pound either.
