Badbob, of all the posters , I thought you would be the last one to ask for an explanation of such an obvious statement. You have confirmed my observations that the vast majority of people do not even know that they are being made ready for the Animal Farm.

Ordinarily I never agree with Kevin. We are as far apart politically as it is possible to be. However his post was for all intents well thought out and written. His post asks "where do we draw the line". A question any thinking person should be asking. As I've said many times, our society is in deep deep trouble and there's not much time left to smarten up.

Kevin, if you call me those names I shall have no alternative but to report you to the exalted Glorious Commissar of the distinguished Peoples Republic. I will then wait in my safe space for a ruling by the esteemed czar of allowed speech.

Opinions can be interpreted any way a person wants. To one it's an insult, to another it's a personal opinion.The whole matter of thought and speech control in the country can be seen by anyone who opens their eyes. It fits into the stage of dependency, which is the last stage of countless country's before their collapse .It should make anyone cringe to think about running to a commissar to "report"
that their feelings have been hurt or their precious "self esteem" has been degraded.
However I have already said many times that filthy language is another matter and should be eliminated, but that should be accomplished by ignoring and never replying to those people and they will disappear from natural causes. I really am coming to see that the folks on OPP do not understand the seriousness of this problem. There is an overwhelming apathy that has taken control.They need to spend 2 weeks in North Korea to understand the consequences of mind control.

Oh and one more thing. The thought of "reporting people" because we don't like their opinions. I'm not sure if that is a grade school reaction or the reaction of a mind that is already hopelessly lost.

First , I do agree that four letter words have no place in the printed media. Especially coming from ladies, as I have seen on OPP and elsewhere.
Insults enter a whole different area. While none of us likes to be insulted, where is the line between insults and criticism? Who makes this determination, and whose business is it if someone chooses to insult another. I say simply let purveyors of insult self destruct. These forums are meant to allow for political opinions to be heard without a fear that an overseer will not like their opinion. The country has entered a dangerous time in which freedom of speech is being controlled. In California ,one can now go to jail for using the wrong pronoun. We now have "h**e speech" laws which can imprison a person for stating that a certain group is associated with mass murder. Personally, I prefer civility, but not at the expense of the country becoming another Soviet Union. That is where the country is headed if people don't smarten up.

Pafret: You are REALLY REALLY right! 241 views of Admin post, 73 views of my post= total 314. Three comments, 2 or which were irrelevant, and your comment. That's one out of 314 showing concern for perhaps the most dangerous thing a free Republic can face. Does not bode well for the future of our country.

Pafret, yes the difference is usually obvious to most of us. But I say let the mud slingers self destruct as they most always do. We are already entering a dangerous ground in this country, most recently with California wanting to impose jail time for use of the wrong pronoun. All country's that try this speech and thought control,end up with a totalitarian government sooner or later. That is exactly the thing that most of us on this forum (with some obvious exceptions)are fighting against. What about the so called h**e speech? Now in this country if I say I don't like a certain group because they are insane k**lers I can be prosecuted. I am really disappointed in the lack of participation in my post to the Admin. Looks like a sign of the apathy stage of the fall of an Empire.

I have read your post (2 times) and would like to voice my opinion. First, I do support your intent to operate a forum which displays common courtesy and civility and is free from foul language. However in general, I, as are most Americans, am strongly opposed to censorship.At the same time, I, like yourself have noticed an increase in the use of four letter words, which in my opinion is completely unacceptable in any media format. I also am dismayed to see the same usage in print in many of the news medias. I do not claim to be an angel and could have written the book on pirate language, however there is a time and place for it, and it certainly is not on a forum , especially in mixed company and in print. Therefore I do support the ban of that kind of language on this forum. As to insults , we are now getting into a dangerous area regarding freedom of speech. We all know that insults are not constructive in anyway other way than to brew more insults. However I think most people will have a problem with being censored for this because we all know the end result. The Soviet Union was a fine example. Who is to decide what the difference is between insults and criticism. At all costs, thought control must be rejected.
Hopefully this post can be used as a basis for some in depth discussion between you and the posters regarding reasonable guidelines. I think I can speak for everyone , that we appreciate being able to have discussions on this forum.

Yes Badbob, speaking for myself, I am very much for real.I do however understand your skepticism, and in the majority of instances, I share your doubts. However there are many cases that are indisputable, such as mine , posted above. In addition to the paranormal, I have also had an encounter with a UFO that lasted for 20 minutes (I don't classify that as paranormal,although in many circles it is considered to be that) while flying at night. This was substantiated and verified by two separate approach Control facilities of which I have real time audio recordings between myself and ATC. Quite a fascinating subject. You should look into it. Tons of information on the net , but beware, much of it is hogwash. Stick with articles by well known physicists and others.
