Kathy Very good letter. I am sorry that I have been so far out of the loop the past 8 days, but I had a bad heart attack last Tuesday. I am walking, breathing proof that it is possible to be scared to death. The Dr told me that another half hour without treatment I would be dead, my heart would have ruptured I was that bad. It is such a good thing that I recognized I could not get home and got off the interstate and stopped my car when I did. The EKG was showing massive heart attack but my blood was only showing low oxygen, no enzymes. I was getting a heart cath a half an hour after I came in. The Dr told me later he had never seen such clean arteries during an emergency Heart cath. My problem was my heart was swollen almost double in size from an overdose of adrenalin and stress hormones. My problem is called takotsubo cardiomyopathy –Broken Heart Syndrome. Mainly effects women over 50.
Now for what caused it. Remember Tuesday morning I wrote that it was raining snowing and sleeting and wind. Well the roads were slick as well. I was driving reasonably and a pickup was coming up fast behind me. I moved over and he barreled past. He was zig zaging in and out of traffic in a hurry to get some place , after all of that he ended up only in front of me when the bed of his truck started sliding to the right. He hit a car in the center lane and was headed straight at me for a head on collision. I had immediately glued my legs to the front of my seat All I could think of was no gas no breaks just drive out. He wizzed by me missing me by inches, took out a huge highway sign part off which hit my car, slide in to the side hill and flipped. I just kept going, but called 911. Got to work and was shaking so hard I could hardly hold my coffee. I sat through a meeting and just kept feeling worse. They sent me home. I was so looking forward to a hot bubble bath to just relax in. The further I drove home the worse I got till I knew I was never going to make it home . I pulled off the road at the next exit and straight into a parking lot and stopped called 911, then I must have passed out.
I heard latter that there was a 4 car pile up with about a dozen smaller fenderbenders . one vehicle was on fire and the road was closed for quite a while.
I'm hoping that I can go back to work 1/2 time next week. that is what I have been working towards.

Where do I begin? Of course there are Right Wing Extremist, just as there are Left Wing Extremist, Religious extremist, Doctor, Lawyer, Teacher--Butcher, Baker, and Candlestick Maker Extremist. That is part of life.

We get in trouble when Extremist in power. I am going to give 2 examples found in nature and life. Maybe one or the other will click.

First I will use a bird. A bird has both a right wing and a left wing. The bird's body is the center. The center is what is in control. it it is where the brain and life center is located. I Bird learns by instinct how to fly. It uses both the right wing and the left wing in tandem to stay in the air and have a safe controlled flight. Should the bird use its left wing to much or only It will only go in circles and crash to the ground. The sane thing will happen only the bird will be going in opposite circles and will crash.

The second example is just a little different, but maybe easier to understand, and compare to the USA. A car is the center, it has a living breathing brain in charge. That brain may be competent or incompetent or a little of both. The car is being driven down the road at 50 or 60, something pops up in the road the person steps on the brake. If only the right break engages the car will spin out. If only the left break engages the car will spin out the opposite direction. If the brain slams on the breaks the wheels will lock and there is trouble. the person doesn't stem on the break hard enough to stop the car it will hit the something.

In the political scene We have the people in the center of the road with some who lean left and some lean right. The trick is for the center to stand up for their rights and the rights of the people, intelligent compromise is the way we have done for 200+ years and we have grown.

Now the Extremist are gaining to much power. They don't know or care that they need the center to succeed.

Right now the liberals and to some extent the far left wing extremist are in charge. They have grown government so large it is unaffordable. Liberals haven't yet learned that you can't legislate Love, Respect, E******y and many other things. Those things have to be earned.

Now if the right wing extremist were in power they might have smaller government, but they would take us back to the dark ages.

As for the addressed gentlemen-- I enjoy and learn from your post and though I don't always reply, and hardly ever to the depth you guys do, I heartily agree with you do and quote you often to my friends. Keep up the good work

I don't really know. I do know that impeachment, which there is some support for, would only compound our errors. I think mass education is part of the answer, but I don't know how to accomplish it. It's going to take a massive grass roots movement and quite frankly I think that we need to turn to our Forefathers. They got us out from under British rule.

What I truly see happening is a splitting of our Good old USA with all the polar opposition. I have a very politically incorrect view that I probably shouldn't publish, but it would very good for the USA that survived.

This may not be exactly the right place for this statement but it came to mind as I was reading your comments.

I DO NOT want to see Obama impeached—that will only give legitimacy to his Fraudulent Presidency. He needs to be removed from office forcibly. That also nullifies all the laws he has enacted. Our Senators and Representatives need to kick him out NOW or set precedence that anyone can buy their way in. Let us all follow our Constitution and kick the usurper out and take back The United States that our forefathers fought and died for.

By forcing this fraudulent president out we also automatically get rid of all fraudulent laws, appointees etc. that he has done. There is a cry for impeachment already floating around. I think there should be a massive campaign to educate on our Fraudulent president and the benefits of forcing him out of office vs. impeachment. With impeachment we are stuck with everything he did, with forcing him out of office we wipe out all he did.

I believe there are somethings that are OK, such as background that won't lead to a national gun registry--provided it makes it through intact. Such as allowing sale among family members with out a background check, allowing family members to keep family guns in the family. Interstate sales, concealed carry permits valid in all states,and I think a concealed carry permit should allow purchase.

One thing everyone seems to have forgotten is the mental health issues these shooters all had in common,and in many cases the mental health drugs. I would like to see mental health and drugs a much larger component of this bill.

I am dittoing everything that Tasine said. When I more fully understand what you have said I may add my 2 cents. Looking forward to reading your answer to Tasine.

Gee Wizz, I personally fall into many of these groups--My crime is loving the USA. The USA before Obama, where the Bill of Rights and the Constitution meant our world, meant our lives!

Since the beginning of time Marriage has meant the union of a male and a female. Our world depends upon a male and a female to procreate itself. I have heard there are some things that are able to reproduce themselves, but they have neither a mind or soul.

The Higher Power, (which I choose to call God), has decided the order of the world requires a male and a female to procreate. This is what keeps the world a viable unit.

Until such time that Homosexuals have the ability to procreate themselves naturally they have no right to the term Marriage.

This is not meant to say that I think Homosexuals should have no rights. On the contrary, I feel they should have all the legislated rights a married person has after they go through the same legal procedure as married people do.

Marriage is a scared union between one man and one woman. It is a unique union. A union between two people of the same sex can be called what ever you want to call it. If you want it to have the same rights as marriage you must make laws that give its unique name the rights. People of the same sex should be proud of their unique name, and not try to usurp the name of marriage. When they try to usurp the name of marriage, it only proves that deep down they know they are wrong and they are trying to legitimize themselves. If they really think they are right they should be willing and proud to have their own unique name to signify their union.
