Here in Mobile(AL) and the surrounding area there is plenty of inexpensive housing and rents are very affordable. We just bought a very nice place w/my VA Loan with 3acres. My wife was raised here and so far I love it(I grew up in suburban Houston). The culture is fantastic as are the people. We have noticed a lot of seniors/retirees moving here over the last year. There are of course problems as in any urban area but overall things are good. Even for a group of liberals.... (my family)and a growing number of others. I am glad i retired here we have good schools, plenty of jobs etc. Well I got to run I have class at Noon. Oh and I almost forgot...MardiGras season began Sunday first parades coming up. Best of all Mobile is not the insane free for all NewOrleans is..A Lot more family oriented and twice as fun IMO.

I tend to discuss things on a secular basis. Atheists and agnostics will ignore spiritual arguments as fairy tales.
Having said that, I think the United States began losing it's moral center in the 1960s, and by now most of the citizens not only can not tell right from wrong, but have no interest in doing so.
Until the majority of the country regains a moral compass, and demands that our government reflects that, then the chaos will continue, and escalate.

Example: For the first time in American history, in the summer of 2020, people IN POSITIONS OF POWER in our government supported and encouraged illegal and violent citizen activity because it suited their purpose. The result? It is happening more and more often, and the people in charge of order have their hands tied by political agendas. Our citizens can't even agree that property destruction, assault and battery, and murder are bad things. And now we have the woke crowds, who demand we "stop the hatred", marching in the streets and attacking our Jewish citizens.
