The $50 Lesson:
Recently, while I was working in the flower beds in the front yard, my
neighbors stopped to chat as they returned home from walking their
dog. During our friendly conversation, I asked their little girl what
she wanted to be when she grew up.
She said she wanted to be President someday.
Both of her parents, Democratic Party members, were standing there so
I asked her, "If you were President what would be the first thing you
would do?"
She replied... "I'd give food and houses to all the homeless people."
Her parents beamed with p***e! "Wow...what a worthy goal!" I
said..."But you don't have to wait until you're President to do that!"
"What do you mean?" she replied. So I told her,"You can come over to
my house and mow the lawn, pull weeds, and trim my hedge, and I'll pay
you $50. Then you can go over to the grocery store where the homeless
guy hangs out, and you can give him the $50 to use toward food and a
new house."
She thought that over for a few seconds, then she looked me straight
in the eye and asked, "Why doesn't the homeless guy come over and do
the work, and you can just pay him the $50?"
I said, "Welcome to the Republican Party."
Her parents aren't speaking to me anymore.
If you know any Republicans that would get a chuckle out of this,
share it with them. Most Democrats will just delete it, I guess the
logic escapes them.

MRC associate editor Joseph Vazquez reported the Soros-funded media group "is at the helm of a new push to restrict free speech online," pointing to a recent press release as evidence.

Last month, Free Press boasted about a letter urging executives at Discord, Google, Instagram, Meta, Pinterest, Reddit, Rumble, Snap, TikTok, Twitch, Twitter and YouTube to keep online platforms "safe and healthy" in 2024 through six specific "interventions."

The letter was signed by "200 civil-society organizations, researchers and journalists," according to Free Press. The MRC found that "at least 45 of the signatories have had their coffers packed with Soros cash to the tune of a whopping $80,757,329 between 2016 and 2022 alone."

"The document attempted to justify that it was written with reducing ‘real-world harms’ and ‘the rise of extremism and violent attempts to o*******w democratic governments’ in mind. However, it appears its true design is to pressure Big Tech companies to silence speech the left despises as 60 countries across the globe gear up for their e******ns in 2024," Vazquez wrote.

"But even more disturbing was the letter’s implication that its primary target is interfering in the 2024 U.S. e******n," Vazquez continued. "This development is directly in line with Soros’ brand, who has dedicated millions of his ungodly fortune to groups looking to interfere in e******ns by stifling online speech."

The letter asked tech companies to reinstate "e******n-integrity policies," "swiftly enforce rules against e******n **es and h**e in political advertising," "require disclosure of AI-generated political content," "place greater friction to reduce the visibility and easy distribution of e******n-related content that has been f**gged and is awaiting review," "hold influencer, public figure and political candidate accounts to the same moderation and enforcement standards as everyone else," and "improve t***sparency and enable civil-society oversight of enforcement practices by regularly sharing v***lity and enforcement reports."

Vazquez wrote that the "explicit push for speech controls is especially disturbing in light of the stated vision of one of Free Press’s founders," noting that Free Press co-founder Robert W. McChesney once wrote in 2000, "Our job is to make media reform part of our broader struggle for democracy, social justice, and, dare we say it, socialism."

. "The signatory that received the most Soros funding in MRC’s tally was none other than the c*****e c****e-obsessed Global Witness, which is already on record pressuring Facebook and TikTok to increase censorship operations before the 2022 midterm e******ns," Vazquez wrote.

"The Soros empire funded the group with a massive $20,338,270 between 2016 and 2022," he continued. "The group’s ‘digital threats’ campaign, for example, is specifically focused on pressuring governments to regulate speech on social media."

Alvin Bragg’s Office Deleted Phone Call Records of Michael Cohen and Stormy Daniels’ Lawyer
Trump attorney asked about roughly three pages worth of records that the attorney claimed Mr. Bragg’s office had deleted.

A paralegal from Manhattan Attorney General Alvin Bragg’s office testified on Friday during former President Donald Trump’s “hush money” trial that some phone call records between Michael Cohen and Stephanie Clifford’s (a.k.a. Stormy Daniels) lawyer were deleted, raising questions about evidentiary integrity.

In a bid to challenge some of the evidence being put forward in President Trump’s business records falsification trial in Manhattan, Trump attorney Emil Bove asked paralegal Jaden Jarmel-Schneider in court on May 10 about roughly three pages worth of records that the attorney claimed Mr. Bragg’s office had deleted.

Mr. Jarmel-Schneider confirmed some deletions. He acknowledged that some phone call records from 2018 between Mr. Cohen and Keith Davidson (Ms. Clifford’s lawyer) had been deleted, along with some records of conversations between Ms. Clifford’s manager Gina Rodriguez and then-National Enquirer editor Dylan Howard about Ms. Clifford’s claim that she had an affair with President Trump.

The Trump attorney alleged that the deletions were “significant,” prompting Mr. Jarmel-Schneider to dispute that characterization, though he acknowledged that some of the records had indeed been deleted.

Prosecutors have submitted the call records into evidence in a bid to bolster their case that the alleged affair—which President Trump has denied—took place and that the former president falsified business records to conceal payments allegedly made to Ms. Clifford to stay silent.

President Trump has denied any wrongdoing and maintains the case is a politically motivated bid to undermine his 2024 p**********l campaign.

The fact that prosecutors submitted the call records into evidence but didn’t tell the Trump defense team that some of them had been deleted raises questions about the integrity of the proceedings, according to Trump attorneys, and others.

“Insanity! How on earth is this not a felony committed by Bragg and his minions? It sure would be if team Trump did it,” the former president’s eldest son, Don Trump Jr., said in a post on X.
Mr. Trump Jr. was presumably referring to the fact that evidence tampering is a class E felony in the state of New York.

Mr. Bragg’s office did not respond to a request for comment on the deleted records.

The development comes at the tail end of an intense week that saw President Trump subjected to gag order sanctions, two failed attempts by the defense team to have a mistrial declared, and Ms. Clifford taking the stand.

Mr. Cohen is expected to take the stand next week.
Trial End in Sight

After four weeks in court, prosecutors signaled that the first-ever criminal trial of a former U.S. president will be coming to an end.

Jurors will soon have to decide whether prosecutors have proved beyond a reasonable doubt that President Trump was involved in falsifying business records as part of a scheme to influence the 2016 e******n.

Mr. Cohen, who is set to testify next week, made the original claims that led to the case. Specifically, the allegation of falsified business records pertains to 11 checks Mr. Cohen received and their corresponding invoices and vouchers.

The defense team says that Mr. Cohen was paid attorney’s fees, while prosecutors allege that the legal expense categorization of the payments was fraudulent in order to cover up that they were meant to buy Ms. Clifford’s silence about the alleged affair.

Ms. Clifford testified over the course of two days, with attorneys and the judge expressing some frustration that she frequently responded to questions with commentary that did not directly answer the question.

Defense attorneys moved for a mistrial, arguing that her statements were “extremely prejudicial” and would improperly influence the jury.

The judge denied that motion.

The House of Representatives passed a bill Wednesday evening to add a citizenship question to the next U.S. census, with zero Democrats v****g in favor. "If you are an i*****l i*******t, you should not be represented in the U.S. Congress," House Majority Whip Tom Emmer, R-Minn., told Fox News Digital after the v**e. "It’s a shame that House Democrats are allowing their open-borders agenda to get in the way of common sense."
The legislation is called the Equal Representation Act, led by Rep. Chuck Edwards, R-N.C. In addition to including a question on citizenship status on the census, the bill would also exclude non-citizens from the population count when factoring how many lawmakers in the House of Representatives each state gets, as well as the number of e*****rs for all 50 states. It passed along party lines with 206 Republicans in favor and 202 Democrats against.
House Republicans say the census question is necessary due to the number of i*****l i*******ts who have come to the U.S. on President Biden's watch "Though commonsense dictates that only citizens should be counted for apportionment purposes, i*****l a***ns have nonetheless recently been counted toward the final tallies that determine how many House seats each state is allocated and the number of e*******l v**es it will wield in p**********l e******ns," Edwards said during debate on the bill. "And since the i*****l a***n population is not evenly distributed throughout the nation, American citizens in some states are losing representation in Congress to i*****l a***ns in other states." There was some uncertainty over whether the bill would pass given near-uniform opposition from Democrats as well as some Republicans.

Two House GOP aides said earlier Wednesday that Republican lawmakers in New York and California, as well as several other establishment GOP members had reservations about the bill. And Speaker Mike Johnson, R-La., can afford precious little dissent, overseeing just a one-seat majority in the House.
A majority of House Republicans support the bill, however, citing the record levels of i*****l i*******ts who have come to the U.S. under President Biden's tenure. Including a citizenship question on the U.S. census is not a new idea, however – former President Trump tried to have it added before the 2020 census, but it was blocked by the Supreme Court because of a last-minute technical issue. One of the Democrats speaking out against the bill ahead of the Wednesday v**e was Rep. Nanette Barragan, D-Calif., chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. Rep. Nanette Barragan was among the Democrats who spoke out against the bill. (Getty Images)
"This requirement would deprive tens of millions of immigrants their right to representation," Barragan said, adding it would have a "chilling effect on participation in the census." "Its accuracy would be destroyed," she said. Rep. Clay Higgins, R-La., a supporter of the bill, argued it would not negate the census' intended purpose of counting everyone in the U.S. "While this bill will continue to count every person in the United States, it adds a simple question – are you a United States citizen?" Higgins posed. "The problem is the level of illegal persons who now live in our country because of President Biden's failure at the southern border." A New York Republican in favor of the bill, Rep. Nick Langworthy, R-N.Y., said on the House floor, "We're talking millions of people who are not American citizens having a major say in American e******ns." Another lawmaker supporting the bill, Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., accused Democrats of opposing the bill because it would negatively impact their power in Congress.

Rep. Tim Burchett accused Democrats of opposing the bill because he argued it benefits them to oppose it.
"You could see why my Democratic colleagues would have a problem with this bill. Factoring i*****l a***ns into the process skews things in their favor," Burchett said. "If the census does not include the citizenship question, states with more i*****l a***ns will get more congressional districts and more e*******l college v**es." Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., the top Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, argued against the bill, "I'm for a whole lot more lawful immigration to America, less unlawful immigration to America…and a lot less demagoguery about who we are as a country." He later added, "One should be clear that under this legislation, they're roping out of reapportionment not just undocumented people, they're roping out permanent residents…they're talking about disenfranchising from the reapportionment process, millions of people who are lawfully [in the U.S.]."
