Thugs and criminals don't normally use credit cards to purchase guns and ammunition, nor do they purchase them from gun stores. They pay cash for untraceable weapons, trade for drugs or steal them. We will never be able to determine who will become a mass murderer by a gun registry and those localities that don't enforce their gun laws should have an equal responsibility when a gun is sold to a person with a prior conviction and commits murder.
