With the actions of the Biden administration against Israel, the United States, if it wasn't before, is certainly under judgment. Parky60

The Biden administration could announce sanctions against an Israel Defense Forces (IDF) battalion for alleged human rights violations in the West Bank before the Oct. 7 attack on Israel by Hamas-led terrorists, according to reports.

Axios reported that U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken could announce the sanctions against IDF battalion "Netzah Yehuda" within days, marking the first time the U.S. will have placed sanctions on military units operated by Israel.

If sanctions are imposed, the battalion and its members would no longer receive any type of training or assistance from the U.S. military, sources reportedly told the publication.

While speaking to reporters on Friday, Blinken was asked about Israel’s violations of human rights in the West Bank and recommendations made by his department to cut military aid to certain Israeli units.

"When we’re doing these investigations, these inquiries, it’s something that takes time, that has to be done very carefully both in collecting the facts and analyzing them – and that’s exactly what we’ve done," he said. "And I think it’s fair to say that you’ll see results very soon. I’ve made determinations; you can expect to see them in the days ahead."

I agree that the United States is under the Judgment of God, as are all nations of the world. For many reasons.

What some IDF soldiers did to the convoy of caregivers is a war crime, but many other countries are committing war crimes as well. And the terrorist acts are to blame for it all. These individual atrocities should be condemned and sanctions imposed. Our government is justified in doing so. But that does not decrease our overall support of Israel. We are blessed to be allies of the great nation of Israel!

It is Hamas and other despicable Islamist groups that curse Israel and are thus cursed by God. 🇮🇱

Thank you Parky for the explanation. The Catholic understanding is pretty much as you describe, there being a difference between the eternal damnation of Hades versus the grave, the 'bosom of Abraham '.

The one thing that's different is that you believe that the 'bosom of Abraham' is empty now because we live and die in the latter days, the days of Redemption brought about by Christ's Death and Resurrection. Every one should choose to follow Christ or else suffer the consequences. But one thing I and the Holy Orders of which I wrote are concerned with are the latter day folks that do not know Christ, through no fault of their own, not to mention the billion or so pre-born souls that are victims of a******n or miscarriage.

Maybe we pray in vain, but if there is any chance that we may successully intercede for these unfortunate souls then we are more at peace. And I want to be clear that it is not by our own merit but rather by the Divine Mercy of Christ that we may gain entry into our Heavenly home.

America was founded as a "Christian" Nation, was it not? Where is its "Christian" Virture today?

America's founding fathers were Christians, deists, agnostics, maybe some jews I don't know. But I do know that the U.S.Constitution forbids the establishment of a national religion.

America was not founded as a Christian nation. However, the basic tenets of the Constitution and Declaration of Independence align well with the Teachings of Christ.

Praying for souls that have died in sin is a waste of time... they're in hell.

The only way one obtains heaven is to believe in Jesus and what he did for you on the cross before you die, thus being imputed with Jesus' righteousness and entrance into heaven when you die. If you don't have that your destiny is hell.

That the basics of it.

So then all of the people that lived and died before the time of Christ are in hell? The most innocent and loving right along side the most evil and loathsome?

This is a question that is on my mind a lot. There are Catholic religious orders whose vocation is to pray for all souls that have died in sin (which includes Everyone, for as stated in the Bible "even a Just Man sins seven times a day "). This includes Everyone from all places and all times, from the dawn of mankind up to the present. Even the pre-born.

I join wirh these orders, praying the Chaplet of Divine Mercy.

When you read Jesus' parable of the "sheep and goats" at the Time of Judgment it is easy to make the connection with the people saying, "Lord, when did we see you...?" Some of the dead honestly have no idea of who this Master is. And Jesus responds, "Whatsoever you did for the least of these, my brethren, you have done for me. "

So we are ultimately judged by the content of our hearts and by our actions.

Gotta Love our Just Judge! Jesus I Trust in You.

Most LTR size paper is Long Grain. If you draw an analogy to corrugated cardboard, the Long Edge of the paper is parallel to the ribs in the cardboard. So you can imagine why it tears as it does.

The same thing goes for paper curl. I have backgrounds in the paper industry and in copier/printer servicing. Understanding Long Grain paper helps resolve some jamming issues.

Exactly! We need robust, graphic sex and reproductive education. Alternatives to intercourse. We need to show healthy nuclear families and struggling single parent families. We need to show a******n procedures and natural childbirth. We need to advertise the abundant resources for aiding pregnant women and create laws to help single parents with their employment. This is how hearts and minds are changed. 💞

Dear Self,

I'm writing this letter as a reminder of the core values that shape a fulfilling and meaningful life. As you navigate through the hustle and bustle of daily existence, it's easy to lose sight of what truly matters. Therefore, let this letter serve as a beacon, guiding you back to the principles that should always remain at the forefront of your mind and actions: your faith in God, the importance of family, and the significance of treating everyone with kindness and respect.

First and foremost, remember that your relationship with God is the foundation upon which everything else is built. It's easy to get caught up in worldly problems and forget the eternal perspective that faith offers. Take time to nurture this relationship through prayer, meditation, and reading scripture. In moments of doubt or confusion, turn to Him for guidance and strength. Let His love and wisdom illuminate your path in every decision you make.

Family is your anchor in the tumultuous sea of life. These are the people who know you best and love you unconditionally. Cherish the time you have with them, for it is precious. Make an effort to be there for them, not just in times of celebration but, more importantly, in moments of need. Listen with empathy, offer support without judgment, and express your love and appreciation openly and often. Remember, it's not just about being present physically but emotionally and spiritually as well.

Lastly, the way you treat others can truly make a world of difference. Approach every interaction with kindness and respect, for you never know the battles others are facing. Be a source of light and encouragement to those around you. Practice empathy, and strive to understand things from others' perspectives. Small acts of kindness can ripple outwards and touch the lives of many. In a world that can often seem dark and cold, be a beacon of warmth and light.

In conclusion, let these principles guide you: faith in God as your compass, family as your anchor, and kindness and respect as the winds that propel you forward. If you can hold these values close to your heart and let them inform your actions, you will lead a life rich with purpose and joy.

With love and hope,
Bruce 123
