Democrats Have Failed to Tie Capitol Breach to Trump, Says Defense Attorney David Schoen

David Schoen, former President Donald Trump’s defense attorney, told reporters on Thursday that the Democrats, while “making a movie,” have failed to tie the Capitol breach to Trump.

“I think they’re making a movie,” Schoen said. “You know, they haven’t in any way tied it to Donald Trump.”

“And I think it’s offensive. Quite frankly, it’s antithetical [to] the healing process to continue to show the tragedy that happened here that Donald Trump has condemned, and I think it tears at the American people, quite frankly.”

A reporter asked the attorney why they broke from the trial to do a live shot.

“It’s more of the same thing. They’re showing the same repetitive videos. [Making] points that don’t exist.”

Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) told Fox on Wednesday that although the Democrats highlighted Trump’s “fight like hell” remark numerous times, they obviated completely another section of Trump’s speech where he told protestors to be peaceful.

“Peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard,” Trump said on J** 6.

“The one line from the president’s speech that wasn’t in the Democrats’ video is the line that’s most important, and that’s where the president said, ‘Peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard,’” Jordan said.


Another lawyer representing Trump in the impeachment trial, Bruce Castor, said House Democrats hadn’t presented any new information in the nearly eight-hour session on Wednesday.

“Yesterday, we said we didn’t dispute that the breach of the capital is a terrible thing, and that mob violence is something that President Trump abhors. So we didn’t learn anything today we didn’t already know, it’s a matter of fact. I wonder why we sat through eight hours of videos that are under dispute,” Bruce Castor told reporters as he walked to his car after the session ended.

Although new footage was presented during the trial, no new evidence of the alleged incitement was presented.

Castor said that the defense team won’t make any adjustments to the president’s defense based on what was presented Wednesday.

“I don’t know what the public has seen and I don’t think the Democrats revealed anything the public hasn’t seen from a different angle; I think it was all angles,” he said

Congress are elected , and paid to serve the people, not to amass their power and wealth. But that is what the democrats are doing due to their greed. For there is nothing hidden that could not be revealed. All their crimes will come out and they'll rot in hell.

Anyone's death is a somber event, the death of a unique human being created in God's image whom God loves, and is usually a profound loss to their family, to their loved ones, and to their community.

It is noteworthy however, that the U.S. Congress finally had the opportunity to experience what thousands of business owners across the US had experienced throughout 2020, being terrorized by having their place of business l**ted and vandalized and violated.

The Congress, however, received an instantaneous response and law enforcement protection, whereas when American business owners had pleaded for help, they were informed by their Democrat mayors and governors who had ordered the law enforcement within their command to stand down, that they must understand it was a "summer of love."

Trump supporter, Benjamin Phillips, 50, a computer programmer from Schuylk**l County, Pennsylvania, who had driven to D.C. died after suffering a stroke, the group with Phillips told The Philadelphia-Inquirer they last saw him at 10:30 A.M. when he left to locate a parking space before Trump’s noon speech.”

Another Trump supporter, Kevin Greeson, 55, a resident of Athens, Alabama, died of a heart attack, his family reported, saying in a statement that Greeson had a medical history of high blood pressure and he suffered a heart attack.”

Ashli Babbitt, 35, however, who was a 14-year Air Force veteran from San Diego, was shot in the neck by a Capitol undercover police officer at point blank range, while she was standing still, unarmed, and she bled out.

C*****l P****e Officer Brian D. Sicknick died the day after the attack from, as of yet, undetermined causes: "He returned to his division office and collapsed following the protest, although no injuries were visible. He was taken to a local hospital where he succumbed from a stroke on January 7th."

It has been reported that he was not struck by a fire extinguisher, as initially reported.

His eldest brother, Ken Sicknick, told ProPublica that Brian Sicknick had texted him on the night on J*** 6 to tell him he had been pepper-sprayed but felt fine. He told the outlet his brother was dead by the next night, after suffering a stroke.

Five weeks later, his autopsy finding has not been reported to the public, results are still said to be pending.

One of the five people k**led in the DC r**ts, Rosanne Boyland, of Kennesaw, Ga., was a pro-Trump supporter who was trampled to death at a time the outside standing crowd was aggressively being forced back by police officers, according to her friend.

The friend she was with, Justin Winchell, recalled her final moments as protesters began falling over one another.

“I put my arm underneath her and was pulling her out and then another guy fell on top of her,” Winchell told CBS46. “There were people stacked two, three deep … people just crushed.”

He said the clash “basically created a panic, as the police pushed back on them, so people started falling.”

Paramedics tried to revive Boyland, 34, but she died.

“She was k**led by an incited event and it was not incited by Trump supporters,” Boyland said.

Two police officers have committed suicide since the incursion into the capitol took place.

U.S. C*****l P****e officer Howard Liebengood, 51, is reported to have died by suicide three days after the siege.

D.C. Acting Police Chief Robert J. Contee III said at a House Appropriations Committee hearing on Tuesday that a second D.C. Metropolitan Police Department officer died after the attack by suicide, according to Washington, D.C.’s police chief, marking the third law enforcement death.

Jeffrey Smith, A 12-year veteran of the force, also died by suicide in the aftermath of the event, said Contee.

The details around Smith’s death - including the date - have not yet been made public.

Smith’s is the third police death since the Capitol attack and the second reported suicide among members of law enforcement who responded to the capitol incursion.

In addition, a Georgia man, Christopher Stanton Georgia, a Trump supporter who had been on the capitol grounds is reported to have died by suicide - dying of a gunshot wound to the chest, after he had been arrested following the event and charged for violation of the curfew set by the D.C. mayor.

Two officers with the C*****l P****e force have also been terminated and as many as 15 are under investigation for their roles in potentially facilitating the entrance into the Capitol, according to USA Today.
