Democratic socialism such as we see in Scandinavia is working quite well with all indicators of health, educational outcomes and happiness of citizens as high or higher than in the us. The top 45 developed nations in the world enjoy universal health care, we are the exception. There is no plan to turn the US into Cuba or Venezuela or Sweden for that matter. It is simply a broken record scare tactic to suggest popular and reasonable regulation of out of control predatory corporations is socialism, it is not. Nor is having the wealthiest Americans at their share of all taxes not just income tax. How can anyone justify a person living off the interest from a trust fund paying a lower rate and no payroll taxes than one working two jobs to make ends meet?

The action the police took was not “protecting A****A” they were doing their job of keeping the peace. The cameraman in question was not a member of the fourth estate filming a news event, he is a N**i propagandist attempting to provoke a violent response he could get on tape. The police as they are trained to do in any such situation separated people who were hostile to each other in order to maintain a semblance of peace.

President Obama made his money deservedly.. he was a Lawyer, a college lecturer, a writer, a senator and POTUS.. put those things together , even a speech makes big money..

we have had income redistribution since the 70s, but it has always been from the lower end of society to the wealthy now while Obama wanted and tried to change that.. the power and the wealth is now in the hands of the 1% and fundamentally changing that is near impossible.. once the laws were rewritten they have seemed to be in stone..
