Obamas-Produced Netflix Documentary ‘American Factory’ Wins An Oscar
The film is the first project released under the banner of Barack and Michelle Obama’s Higher Ground Productions.

American Factory,” the first Netflix project released under the banner of Barack and Michelle Obama’s production company, Higher Ground Productions, won an Academy Award at the 2020 Oscars on Sunday night.

The documentary, directed by filmmakers Julia Reichert and Steven Bognar, won the award for Best Documentary Feature. The film chronicles what happened when a Chinese billionaire opened a new factory at the former General Motors plant outside of Dayton, Ohio, in 2014. It was produced by company Participant Media before the finished film was acquired by Netflix and Higher Ground.

“American Factory” was released on the streaming service last year in August. Reichert and Bognar met the former president and first lady in Washington the month prior, they told HuffPost at the time.

Reichert said the Obamas are “wonderful people.”

The Obama backed documentary is dishonest, as it neglects to show the effect of Obama’s bailout, the thousands of jobs lost, people’s lives destroyed, the auto industry dying yet another death. Obama cut a deal with the unions. Any worker who didn’t support the unions was sidelined, lost pensions, ruined. None of this is shown in this story. Identity politics of showing prejudice against Chinese was the goal of the story. This is therefore not a documentary, but rather a L*****t activist piece. At the awards, the woman uttered a quote straight out of the C*******t Manifesto. This was Obama’s Bible, as he was a follower of Che Guevara, Marx, Engels, Saul Alinsky, and others. He’s cut a deal with Netflix to produce more of his Socialist/C*******t/F*****t ideology under the guise of “art.” Watch for more propaganda. The goal of folks like this is subversion/destruction of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and ultimately the freedoms Americans love given over to state control. This is a dangerous goal, as it’s ripe for another Hitler. N**I = National Socialist Party. This ideology leads to failed states. What’s so hypocritical about people like Obama is that they make the bucks by decrying the very system they seek to destroy. I don’t see any of them “spreading the wealth” like good Socialists. They’re multimillionaires. That’s the hypocrisy. It’s not that they don’t have the right to grow rich. It’s that they want to rape the public taxpayer along the way.

We have had a warm spat.. about 5 days now of near 30 degrees.. but going to near 20 below tonight and tomorrow.. then back up.. so I will make it..

that frost covered trees used to be unusual.. but we have had a lot of it in the last few years.. no i do not credit CC.. but we have had more humidity for winter days...

I managed to get a few pictures of my own, but the one I posted was from Finland..

Time for me to wrap this up for today and toss out the cat.. our cat which insists it is a house cat used the bathtub rather then the litter box and may never get back in..

Good grief.... all those thing you list are from the Great recession.. started under bush, the buy out and much else was Bush strategy..

Was never any deal with the unions and Obama.. the unions gave up a lot to help the company survive, hence the not so long ago strike to get what the company had promised in return..

The only people who read and prattle on about the c****e manifesto are you right wingers.. I have never heard any liberal even talk about it..

Netflix approached Obama to start this business.. a success by all appearances..

You sound like one more echo of the fish wrap media created by the right wingers.. all lies..

H**e that Obama guy a lot don"t you... hurt to your gizzard to see him have even more success..

You people still can not sort out what names to call him.. c****e or N**i.. can not be both.. make up your mind if you have one..

President Obama made his money deservedly.. he was a Lawyer, a college lecturer, a writer, a senator and POTUS.. put those things together , even a speech makes big money..

we have had income redistribution since the 70s, but it has always been from the lower end of society to the wealthy now while Obama wanted and tried to change that.. the power and the wealth is now in the hands of the 1% and fundamentally changing that is near impossible.. once the laws were rewritten they have seemed to be in stone..

How has the tax gift worked for our county? paying those nasty taxes in a necessary and patriotic duty in our great nation.. pay it or parish..

So?
I don't care, Permi. Just....dont care....

About the only TV, movie stuff I pay any attention to is the local weather, and those people are bigger liars than any politician!!

I'll occasionally watch an old western if I have time, but this means nothing to me.

Let the Obamas go make gazillions while telling us to feed our kids chicken teeth to be healthy.

They have their business, I have mine.
