Sorry, Joe: Team Obama refused to arm Ukraine

In 2014, after Russia annexed Crimea and began arming separatists in eastern Ukraine with tanks, armored vehicles and rocket launchers, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko came to Washington to plead for weapons to defend his country. In an impassioned address to a joint session of Congress — with Biden sitting directly behind him — Poroshenko said his country appreciated the nonlethal assistance he was getting, but declared “one cannot win a war with blankets.”

The Obama-Biden administration was unmoved. The Wall Street Journal reported at the time that “President Barack Obama stuck to his refusal to provide weapons or other lethal military gear to Ukraine.” Why?

Team Obama feared that lethal aid would provoke Moscow.

So what did the administration give him? Instead of rocket-propelled grenades, we provided food rations. As one frustrated former Pentagon official put it at the time, “What kind of message does that send anyway?”

Answer: a message of weakness.

When Trump took office, he delivered a message of strength. In December 2017, the new administration announced that the United States would send the lethal aid to Ukraine that Poroshenko requested and Obama and Biden refused — the sale of $47 million worth of Javelin antitank missiles.

In May 2018, after Ukraine tested its new Javelin missiles, Poroshenko exulted on Twitter “Finally this day has come!” and personally thanked Trump “for supporting Ukraine and adopting a decision to provide Javelin antitank missile systems.”

For Biden to now attack Trump for a temporary delay in a new round of lethal military aid reeks of hypocrisy. It was on Biden’s watch that the United States refused to deliver military aid at all. Yet the same vice president who sat there impassively while Ukraine’s president begged for weapons now dares to cite the Russian threat to Ukraine in castigating Trump?

Talk about chutzpah.

And since Biden raised the Russian threat, let’s recall that the Obama-Biden administration bears much responsibility for the ­annexation of Crimea that necessitated the delivery of lethal aid to Ukraine in the first place. Russia’s military intervention in Ukraine came in the aftermath of the Obama-Biden administration’s failure to enforce its red line against Bashar al-Assad’s use of chemical weapons by Syria.

In March 2013, Biden declared, “Because we recognize the great danger Assad’s chemical and biological arsenals pose to Israel and the United States, to the whole world, we’ve set a clear red line against the use or the t***sfer of those weapons.”

Assad responded by using chemical weapons on innocent civilians not once, but 16 times. And yet Team Obama did nothing, failing to carry out even “unbelievably small” military strikes — a decision Biden publicly defended. “We can easily say we should have bombed and gone in and taken out their air defense system,” Biden said. “Well, you know, big nations can’t bluff.”

Bluff is what Obama and Biden did — and Assad called their bluff. Not only that, they turned to Russia for a face-saving way out, letting Russian President Vladimir Putin broker a phony deal to have Syria disarm. It was one of the most embarrassing foreign-policy debacles of the post-Cold War era.

So it should come as no surprise that, when Team Obama threatened to impose costs on Putin if he invaded Ukraine, the Kremlin called his bluff. Putin knew Biden and his boss didn’t have the will to stand up to him in Ukraine. And he was proved right when they refused to give Ukraine lethal aid for fear of further provoking him.

None of this excuses Trump’s delaying a new round of lethal military aid to Ukraine. But if this military assistance was as vital to countering the Russian threat as Biden says, then it’s fair to ask: Why didn’t the United States provide it when Biden was the Obama administration’s point man on Ukraine?

I am totally disgusted with you Trump r****t degenerate party that think a whistleblowers IS not protected. You people just keep listening to a pathological lying POS that resides in the White House.

So to educate the ignorant you can read the whistleblower Act.

Last week you b***hed and complain that the democrats were conducting no public hearings, and demanded public hearings. Even that fat d********g lying POS in the White House tweeted and demanded public hearings. You b***hed about the process, you attacked career officials who had the guts to stand up to that White House freak and testify under oath. All you Trump r****t degenerate party members do is attack the messenger and avoid at all cost the message.
Now that the democrats gave you exactly what you wanted and they will conduct public hearings and require all witnesses to testify under oath your complaining again. You people don’t want facts you just a bunch of hypocrites.

So it’s not about the process it’s about you obstructing a congressional investigation. Schiff even gave you the opportunity to call any GD witness the GOP wants and gave you the same amount of time to question a Trump witness under oath. BUT YOU COULD NOT FIND A WITNESS.

For Peggy Noonan and her elitist pals…here’s a little plainspeak for you
So many of us with conservative leanings have long respected the prose and insight of Peggy Noonan, now a prominent Wall Street Journal columnist, but initially admired for her work as a Reagan speechwriter. But her recent columns show she’s come to exemplify the ruling class elitism that simply doesn’t grasp the groundswell in the American heart that elected Donald Trump president.

I consider myself to be right in the heart of that American heart. Raised in a lower middle-class home in small town America; father with a high school diploma, and mother with a junior college degree earned in middle age. Taught and embrace the Christian faith, work ethic, and ‘marinated’ in an atmosphere of love for America. Made it through college and law school; experienced a version of the American dream in terms of achieving a standard of living for my wife and three kids being substantially higher than that of my sister and me growing up.

Well, Peggy, let me help you understand where that background—shared in various forms with millions of Americans—positions my worldview.

I resented the hell out of Barack Obama claiming authority to fundamentally t***sform America. He didn’t admit to this mission until very late in his first campaign; there is no way in hell the majority of the American people who v**ed for him supported a fundamental t***sformation of this country.

I resented the hell out of the Eric Holder DOJ deliberately running guns to Mexican cartels so that ensuing violence could be traced to American gun manufacturers and morphed into an anti-2nd Amendment media narrative in America. I resented the hell out of the fact that no one was held accountable for this government-initiated, subvert-the-Constitution deceit.

I resented the hell out of Barack Obama brazenly lying to the American people 27 times about ‘keep your doctor’ and ‘keep your plan’ when he knew he was lyingabout the facts, intent and design of Obamacare. I resented the hell out of Nancy Pelosi making a mockery of the legislative process by telling Democrats they needed to pass Obamacare to find out what was in it.

I resented the hell out Chief Justice John Roberts making a joke out of the Supreme Court and the rule of law by upholding Obamacare as a tax when it was expressly not a tax. And all for the purpose of not upsetting wh**ever Barack Obama wanted to do in fundamentally t***sforming the country.

I resented the hell out of Barack Obama telling a Russian official to encourage Putin to be patient until after Obama’s re-e******n, when he could be more flexible. I resent the hell out of the fact that to this day, this episode is ignored by those trying to paint President Trump as a Russian asset.

I resented the hell out of Barack Obama exploiting the Trayvon Martin tragedy to stoke racial tensions in America when there was absolutely no race angle whatsoever to the case, and the prosecutors engaged in blatant, documented, proven fraud with the false witness Rachel Jeantel. I resent the hell that to this day, Democrats prop up these lies, as well as the proven lie of “hands up, don’t shoot”, to paint and foment an incendiary picture of race relations in America.

I resented the hell out of Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton escaping all accountability for their abject lying and malfeasance in connection with the B******i attack. That attack was not caused by an anti-Muslim video, and everyone in this country knows it. I resent the hell out of the fact that everyone in the executive branch of government, and senior military officers loyal to Obama and not the American people, just brazenly lied about it and figured we the people wouldn’t notice, and wouldn’t remember.

I resented the hell out of Barack Obama propping up the Muslim Brotherhood—which openly seeks the destruction of America—in multiple places around the world (including Libya, Egypt, and Syria), and t***sferring billions to “Death to America” Iran, including midnight delivery of cash on palates, in a move that plainly facilitated Iran’s nuclear ambitions. To Americans with common sense, this was treason. GOP Senator Bob Corker facilitated it by disabling and disfiguring the Constitution’s treaty approval provisions.

I resent the hell out of Joe Biden on video bragging about the hold up of financial aid to the Ukraine until a prosecutor investigating his son was fired. This is the textbook definition of a political quid pro quo. On. Video. I resent the hell out of a media that tries to tell me there is nothing wrong with this or that it has been ‘debunked’ or is ‘unsubstantiated’ or that the real culprit is President Trump for daring to engage in any action to get to the bottom of all aspects of 2016 e******n i**********e.

I resent the hell out of Joe Biden’s son securing $1.5B from China in the immediate aftermath of an Air Force Two trip with his father—because I have worked in corporate finance and this doesn’t happen for any reason other than the pay-off by China for China-favorable policy decisions by the Obama/Biden administration. I resent the hell out of a media that won’t acknowledge the obvious or tries to tell me to look past the Biden corruption that is right in my face.

Probably most of all, I resent the hell out of a media and a Republican Party that would do absolutely nothing about any of these things because Barack Obama was the first President of color, and so these elites decided to pat Americans on the head, tell them to shut up with their concerns, and understand that Obama gets a free pass to destroy this country in the name of t***sforming it in accord with his l*****t ideology. In President Trump’s words, this is b*****t. We the people are not too stupid to see what was done, and we don’t forget who did it.

So as the evidence started to come out of the Obama/CIA/FBI/DOJ c**p attempt against candidate Trump and then President Trump—and any moderately intelligent and objective observer knows that the evidence has continued accumulating and is now overwhelming and irrefutable in establishing the complete corruption and dishonesty of a federal government totally weaponized against the incumbent’s political opponents and under the direction of Barack Obama—then, yeah, Peggy, I have gone from cautious tolerance of President Trump to a 1,000% Trump supporter; I despise the ruling class behavior of both parties in DC; I respect President Trump as a fighter and disrupter of an absolutely rotten, entrenched elite and I don’t care what he tweets in furtherance of calling these people out. And I will join tens ofmillions of Americans in massive outrage if the House dares to use C**p H**x 2.0 to v**e for impeachment and/or the Senate v**es for conviction and removal.

Peggy, I hope you can wise up. You’re in perfect touch with the ruling class; you are wildly out of touch with the American people.

Those who seek to deny g****l w*****g constantly use t***sparently obvious
tricks, selecting data from a single time, a single place, or both, to deny the larger
long-term global patterns. This is easily done as climate is constantly fluctuating,
so picking out the mean patterns and trends requires that one integrates the data
over the largest time and space scales possible. So if one dishonestly wants to
misrepresent the larger patterns, one can always find a particular place at a
particular time that does not agree with the all the rest averaged together. This is
sometimes referred to as the “It’s a cold day in Wagga Wagga” approach, and is
repeatedly used by the c*****e c****e deniers to fool people who haven’t looked
at the data themselves. The changes in Arctic Ice are no exception!
