Hello Forum Members. I am a Conservative American-Jew (I mention that because although I believe that Israel is properly the homeland of the Jewish people, I myself have no desire whatsoever to go and live there). I am also a Conservative politically speaking, which means that I am--much to the discredit of my own people--one of a very small group of Jews in aligning themselves with the Republican party. I believe that clarity is far more important than agreement--one can never rationally hope to acheive agreement if there is no clarity on what the various positions are, and I am even more interested in meaning than in t***h (if you disagree with that then please tell me if you agree with the statement "Blick is grue.").
I have studied political science, philsophy and history, and enjoy the debates between honest brokers rather than the ranting and raving of people who are more interested in calling each other names than in an hinest dialogue. I hope that I will find a fairly goodly supply of the latter here.
Lou, I'm not entirely sure what you're talking about--and I think it's clear that you don't either, but let's ask the widows and the surviving children of the dead American diplomats if they think that Obama's and Hillary's total and obvious dereliction of duty constitutes a "phony" scandal, shall we? You're nose-dive into calling anyone who believes that the President and the State Department leadership failed first to protect and then to defend American diplomats in B******i "teabaggers,"proves that the only weapon remaining to The Left is adhominem attacks. You have shown yourself to be a member of a morally, politically, and strategically bankrupt philosophy which makes you and people like you part of the problem and not the solution.
