Trump promised to eliminate the deficit in eight years. So far, he has increased it by 68%

Spending bills (budget) are generated by the House of Reps. If he vetoes the bills then the gov’t shuts down and you blame him. If he signs the budget bill then you blame him. There is nothing he can do to win favor with people like you. The debt will eventually cause massive economic problems.

I guess Obama and Clinton and Bernie can also start packing.

Gee, I wonder why fewer people are crossing the desert in August? It is pretty hard for Trumps ignorant chumps to figure that one out so they will credit him with the drop in numbers.

Kevyn,
They don’t “cross the desert”, they cross the river and turn themselves in thanks to do nothing lib policy.

They dropped interest 1/4 of 1%. If you are a saver this is bad. If a borrower this is good.

. On top of that Obama has not been president for over two and a half years and not a damn thing he has done gives Trump a free pass.
Why don't we just focus on a known criminal in the White House and get the job done . Trump would sell this country to the highest bidder and I have no doubt he probably already has.
Kushner is going to make sure that Trump has a comfortable home in Saudi Arabia.

And where is there any proof Trump broke any laws. We could look at BO’s IRS, NSA, Justice Dept and I could go on for awhile. BO’s interference in Israeli e******ns.....

Trump's pick of rock cliff to be the leader of our intelligence agency is just another way to protect himself just like the appointment of barr there there to insulate president of the United States of the responsibility of obeying the laws of this country. And leaking State secrets to the Russians and the Saudis. Remember when Khrushchev said he would take over this country without firing a shot I think we are witnessing that Today!

Kind of like the people Obama surrounded himself with.

We've all heard the arguments over who is bankrupting the country, the poor, the elderly, the sick, the Congress, etc. Does the money tell us anything? It does.......if we could ever see it, you know, the for realz.

How much are we paying in interest on the National debt, bearing in mind that we are steadily ADDING TO the debt every month, increasing the interest exponentially? We must also keep in mind, that we're ( supposedly) paying interest on the money stolen from our Social Security and Medicare trust funds, further adding to our total interest payments. I'm guessing that the total interest payments are larger than many countries entire annual budgets.

Due to increased lifespans, there is the argument that Social Security will become insolvent soon, but what that really means is....................the Government will reach a point where it cannot buy back enough Treasury bonds to meet commitments.........................and pay itself too. How much are we paying for non contributory Federal retirement, that former lawmakers, judges and secretaries draw for life? With folks living longer, folks getting 100% retirement payments, that are 100% taxpayer funded, are growing at an exponential rate. Who costs more; the 70 year old person on Social Security, who paid in a percentage of their wages for 55 years, now getting a percentage of their working wage who lives to 103 - or - the 54 year old former lawmaker who contributed nothing, getting 100% of the their working wage who lives to 103? Yeah.

Tell me, who is it that keeps trying to tell us that those who paid into Social Security all their working life, now drawing a pittance are bankrupting the country? Oh, yeah, that's right..................the very people drawing 100% of their working salary in retirement, who paid nothing. How many former Congress people/secretaries/judges are we paying full salaries to? How much is that costing us?

How much are we spending buying new cars, boats, planes for Federal agencies? How much in per diem are we paying every month? How much in travel expenses? There are 10's of 1000's of line items, for which we have no idea of the amounts involved. Do Federal agencies submit budgets? Do they have to follow that budget? Who has oversight to ensure that our money is being spent wisely?

While politicians keep us looking HERE for the source of our financial woes, they're steadily spending our money unrestrained over THERE. I say...............show me the ^#$* money!
We've all heard the arguments over who is bankrupt... (show quote)

40 cents of every dollar our gov’t spends is borrowed.

ear Friend,

On November 8, 2016, I cast my v**e for Donald Trump for President of the United States.

I wanted “The Great Disruptor.”

I wanted the swamp drained.

But, above all, I wanted America to truly become great again.

It didn’t happen.

None of it.

Instead, we’re in a far worse… far more dangerous spot than we were just two years ago.

One where the Welfare State and the Warfare State threaten to destroy our economy… leaving ordinary Americans crippled in the wreckage.

One where our national debt is approaching an astounding $23 trillion… with no end in sight.

One where border wars… trade wars… and Twitter wars have stolen our focus from a ticking time bomb in the stock market.

And one where the Deep State has boldly emerged from out of the shadows to steal our democracy right from under us.

Your assets… your savings… your retirement… everything you’ve worked so truly hard for…

It could ALL be at risk.
by David Stockman who has written a book on this s... (show quote)

Amen. And the 23 trillion does not count the unfunded liabilities. It’s more like 123 trillion. They ( both Parties) have us fighting each other and the debt will bring us down.

Seems that not only is trump besieged with mental problems, but his eyesight must be failing, since he can't read simple words on his teleprompter.

Case in point, in announcing the appointment of Mark Esper as secretary of defense, trump stumbled over the word Combat Infantryman Badge.

Instead, trump mangled those words to become "infantroopen", perhaps because he is still reading about his most admired man, hitler.

And trump went on to claim that congress is full of "lawmarkers".

He was probably close to being right about that, with the never ending spending by republicans for defense and the stupid wall.

You do remember Obama referring to our 53 States in one of his speeches. And then there is Uncle Joe

Seeing Trump stand in front of a f**e p**********l seal without he nor anyone on his staff recognizing what it was makes one wonder about his love of country. Very constructive on your part. I never met a smart lib.
