I have a similar WalMart story. Because of 9/11 and new rules in my state for having a driver's license, I was unable to renew my license because the birth date on my license and the birth date Social Security had for me were exactly one year different. So, until they straightened the mess out, I couldn't get my license renewed and was driving around with an expired license.

So, I was at WalMart one day buying a 12-pack after work and I was carded by the cashier who appeared to be about 30. I was in my late 50s and looked every bit of it. The moron looked at my license and told me I couldn't buy the beer because my license was expired. I asked if he was trying to verify my age or if he was a traffic cop.

He refused to ring up the beer, so I told him to get the manager on duty over here, who showed up after a few minutes. He looked like he was too young to drink a beer legally, but I explained the situation to him. He looked at the simpleton behind the counter like the dumbass had a third eye in the middle of his forehead and said, "sell him the damned beer!"

I disagree, rumatoid. I am a conservative blogger. I understand, personally and painfully, the l*****t bias in the mainstream media and Silicon Valley. To suggest that there is no bias is naive. It is you who has done this story a disservice by denying what everyone else knows.

You may have heard about this story "that day," but it was likely from Fox News or the right-wing blogosphere. I heard nary a word of this from the Democrat Communications Division, aka the mainstream media.
