V**er ID

I got in trouble at Walmart again yesterday trying to buy beer.

I'm a 74 year old Vietnam Veteran and probably look older than 74.

Since I quit driving I let my drivers license expire so when they ask for my ID I show them my Veterans VA ID Card which has my photo on it but no "DOB". I said 7-17-1944 for DOB. Stupid **** at the cash register said it doesn't say that on this card, this is not an ID. The stupid **** manager came over and said the same thing. Finally I slid the case of beer off my scooter onto the floor along with other things I was buying and left.

Employees this stupid are why we have 3 (known) Muslims and "AOC" in our do nothing Congress.

If this country had as stringent of V**er ID rules as there is for buying beer at Walmart we could have more honest e******ns.

CONGRESS is the most dangerous thing this country is facing

There is no law requiring Walmart to demand ID in order to allow old farts to buy beer. It is the stores policy. Just buy your beer from a liquor store if Walmarts policy gets your panties in a bunch.

Oh Kevyn (with a Y) - it's always so enjoyable when you younger twits take us old farts to task. I bet you think you told him! Of course he's right about what he said. The ID requirements to v**e (depending on the state) are a joke when compared to doing most anything else. But we're trying to fix that. Don't worry though - we got you something...

Very, very true, Sailor. No ID to v**e, but ID for everything else. I've had your same experience when I attempted to buy nicorette gum. Just ran in with my debit card. I'm clearly NOT under 18. Insanity reigns.

In places where liquor is sold in grocery stores, liquor stores can be few and far between, or even non existent. Just how far do you imagine a scooter can go? Where I live, it is 25 miles to the nearest supermarket and I don't know if there even is a liquor store in town. Rural areas also do not have public t***sport.

Your advice should have been thought over more before given.

They do not require passports, birth certificates, and signature checks at Walmart.

Nor are Walmart employees required to have any COMMON SENSE.
That's why most of them are Democrats.

I don’t understand the asking for an ID for the purchase of beer or wine. If it is for an age check, I get it, but at eighty five years old when I want to buy a six pack at the grocery and they ask for an ID, I think the rules must have been written by i***ts.

The rules are written by i***ts, most likely Liberals who have no common sense.
I could buy beer easier when I was 16 than I can now at Walmart.
Yet liberals don't believe that anyone should be asked for a "V**er ID" because it's r****t!!

Really?? So one doesn't have to show an ID to prove their age to buy alcohol? Which state, pray tell, is that?
