This narrative about Trump being a better option, or it is the only option we have reminds me of the story of a guy who has been married for 20 years to a hardworking woman, who's a good mother, and a loving wife. They live in a beautiful house. But suddenly the guy finds out his wife has been unfaithful to him for quite sometime. He now has to decide whether to leave his wife, sell the house, and be separated from his kids or allow the wife to continue being unfaithful to him for the sake of keeping the status quo. Those who support Trump are stuck in the same dilemma because in their eyes there is no one Republican, with Conservative principles in the United States of America who could replace Trump and keep those same policies without being corrupt. In their mind, when Trump leaves office it is the end of America. It is a very sad prospect to harbour.

People say: Look at the transcript. The transcript is only part of the extortion. By the time the phone call was made, there had already been a shady campaign going on for months conducted by Rudi Juliani on behalf of the president. The phone call is only a confirmation that Trump was behind the shakedown of Ukraine's president. The real dirty work was being done by Juliani and his shady associates on behalf of Trump. Trump did the final touch with the call. He suspended the military aid which had been approved by Congress, set to be released by a certain date agreed to by everyone, and then suddenly he ordered his Chief of Staff to suspend the desperately needed aid, without explanation, while Putin's tanks were aggressively attacking Ukraine. What did Trump seek by withholding the aid knowing that they needed it desperately? To gain leverage. I have something you desperately need, but "I want you to do us a favor though"... The only reason Trump was forced to release the aid without getting what he wanted out of Ukraine was the whistleblower's complaint to his boss, the acting DNI. When the DNI got the complaint, he submitted it to the Inspector General, who did the pertinent investigation and found it "urgent and credible". Once the DNI got the matter investigated by the Inspector General, the acting director of national intelligence (appointed by Trump) went the White House to let them know that the cat was out of the bag. Trump released the aid right away. And the rest is history. The phone call is a fraction of the shady deal. That's why John Bolton when referring to the matter that he also became aware of, said: this all look like "a drug deal" because of the secrecy involved.

Smith refused to be part of the bunch "telling the audience what they wanted to hear, and not what they needed to know to be well-informed" Supress real news and you have pure propaganda. He couldn't fit in at Fox any more in the Trump era. Too much deliberate spinning.

Wouldn't you say that it took a toxic, disrupting, norm-breaking individual such as Donald Trump to become president for this situation to get to this point?? In the history of this country, the left and the right always bickered, but it was never like that.

Imagine one person commits murder by shooting someone. Another person sees the murder taking place, then sees the k**ler hiding the murder weapon, and calls the police. The witness tells the police where the gun is hidden. The police gets the gun with the culprit's finger prints all over the gun and confronts the k**ler. The k**ler asks the police who tipped them, who told them about the act and the hiding of the evidence. The police identified the witness. Now the k**ler says that the witness and him had an argument a while back and were not on speaking terms. Therefore, the accusation is not valid because the witness is biased. So he must be cleared of any wrongdoing and the murderous act must be overlooked.

Trump may get death threats by virtue of being President and having a big mouth, but he has an army of secret service to protect him and his family. The congresswoman doesn't have the same protection.

As I understand it, the e*******l College came about as a result of s***ery which it is a thing of the past. E******ns in all western democracies, except here, have functioned well without e*******l college for many many years. One citizen one v**e. He who gets the most v**es wins. What's wrong with that? Only then can you say the will of the people has spoken.

This is all f**e News to create a false narrative. Muslins don't leave their praying rugs behind which they need everyday to pray on. It is like saying that devout bible-reading Christians are leaving their bibles behind and keep marching on.

‘Trump is doomed’: Conservative blasts president and bluntly states his ‘presidency will end poorly’.

25 DEC 2018 AT 09:01 ET
As the government shut down over the holidays, the President appeared to barricade himself in the White House and tweet about his dire fate.

“I am all alone (poor me) in the White House waiting for the Democrats to come back and make a deal on desperately needed Border Security,” he wrote. “At some point the Democrats not wanting to make a deal will cost our Country more money than the wall."

‘Trump is doomed’: Conservative blasts president and bluntly states his ‘presidency will end poorly.'

Writing in the Los Angeles Times Tuesday, conservative columnist Jonah Goldberg observed that the President’s poor character—as evidenced by the government shut down and his reaction to it—might doom his administration.

“As we celebrate Christmastime amid an unnecessary and indefinite government shutdown and the worst December for the stock market since 1931, I’m reminded once again of my longstanding prediction: The Trump presidency will end poorly because character is destiny,” Goldberg writes.

He lists the qualities associated with good character, which seem to be largely missing in the Trump administration: “decency, politeness, self-restraint, commitment, honesty, cooperativeness and the ability to think of others’ well-being.”

Conservatives might balk. “Weirdly, it’s gotten to the point that when I say President Trump is not a man of good character, I feel like I should preface it with a trigger warning for many of my fellow conservatives,” he writes.

Goldberg points to an array of ways that fellow conservatives have defended the president’s character, from minimizing his Twitter presence to citing his authenticity and apparent love for his children.

But Goldberg concludes that those are irrelevant tests of his character and lists the more pertinent qualities.

“But his refusal to listen to advisors; his inability to bite his tongue; his demonization and belittling of senators who v**e for his agenda; his rants against the 1st Amendment; his praise for dictators and insults for allies; his need to create new controversies to eclipse old ones; and his inexhaustible capacity to lie and fabricate history,’ he writes. “All this springs from his nature". "He’s messing with people’s lives’: Bitter federal workers pound Trump for shutdown over a ‘a temper tantrum for a wall".
