Gee, grazeem, you've really got your biases on your shirt sleeve. Re-reading my post, I don't see a word about taxes in it. It's about the encroachment of socialism and the increasing proclivity of the fraud-in-chief to ignore the Constitution. Your complaints about we ex-military and retired military people makes me believe that you never served and have no clue what serving constitutes. While you were home curled up next to mum's bum, I was probably at sea or deployed somewhere. The retirement benefits you seem so upset about are "earned benefits" and are not entitlements of the kind being handed out by obama and friends to cronies, supportive political groups and selected non-white ethnic groups. I consider myself one of the lucky ones in that I survived to enjoy my retirement after working in the private sector until nearly 70. I have way too many friends that either died in combat or in training accidents. I don't know what you do in life, but I hope that you're better at it than you are at articulating your opinion based on emotion and not so much on fact.

Entire books could be written on the topic so encapsulating it in a nutshell description is difficult. For the most part, Democrats and Progressives have had control of Congress for most of the time since the days of FDR. Added together, The New Deal, The Great Society, and under obama, The Raw Deal have wrought increased dependency on government to provide solutions to problems previously taken care of by family, church, and community. As the Progressives and Democrats have increasingly discredited and marginalized family and church while at the same time nationalizing the functions of community via mandates and regulation, individuals feel less obligated to one another on a human level and look to faceless bureaucracies to fulfill their functions. Upon his e******n in 2008, obama brought to Washington the most well organized and funded political orginization the nation has ever seen. It came with a planned agenda, much of it crafted in advance, to take over the two major areas of our economy that control our lives - finance and health care. Does anyone out there believe that obamacare was actually crafted by the Democrats in Congress? Why do you think that it was written behind closed doors and that it had to be v**ed on to see what's in it? It's because obama and company don't want you to know who really crafted the guts of the legislation and who is still crafting it. Additionally, this administration has brought so much legislation, so many executive orders, and so many end-runs on the Constitution that Congress can't keep pace and is totally overwhelmed by the massive socialist onslaught and is losing by default. As a 31 year service veteran pledged to support the Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic, I am now afraid for the continued existence of my revered democratic republic formerly known as th United States of America.
