Certainly, I'd have you re-roof my house (when necessary) but, I doubt if I could handle your traveling, food and lodging expenses in getting here with a crew. That, plus the cost of roofing.

You would be better off talking to your friends who have had roofing work done and find out who in your area is the best then hire them. For your own good don't be impatient or you may regret getting what you get. Good roofers are always busy.

WalMart doesn't sell guns anymore. And purchasing a firearm including the NICS background check is not a 5 minute process.

Wal-Mart in Coos Bay is still selling guns right now and the last few times I have bought a gun the background check came back in under 5 minutes. This is the t***h and I'll swear it on every Bible ever written in every language it was written in.

Though I agree wholeheartedly with your outlook and approach to people, "99%" may be too high.

Well I am hopeful and optimistic for the most part. There are some bad actors out there. Fortunately they are few though some areas have a concentration of bad people. It takes people sk**ls to do my job. Everything from getting the contract signed and working with a crew requires psychology. I can handle most people and get them to do as they should. It takes patience and a will to keep cool. I have had my times with customers and workers from hell but still I got the job done and got paid. In the end I want my due and I don't back down on that.

Oh good grief. Nobody will do a damn thing about mass k*****gs with guns. It is a battle between who ever screams the loudest and who has the most money and a 500 lb Gorilla* on their side. We can care all we want and it still won't mean a thing. The mental cases with violence on their records will still go to Wal-Mart and pass a background check in 5 minutes Walk out with a rifle and k**l half of their neighbors the next day. We just have to accept this as part of living in the USA and take our chances when we leave our homes. We might as well buy Burial plans for our kids since nobody knows when or where the next school shooting will be. Might as well be prepared to minimize the financial impact of sudden death of loved ones. ----*give you one guess who the gorilla is.

Be warned; there are probably more Southern Californians there than in Oregon.

It won't bother me. One thing that I have learned from working with people is toleration. and In my experience with thousands of people I have learned that 99% of all people are good people. Thank God for that.

You can't get real Chimayo peppers anywhere else; and there are only a few places where you can get those. (Near my old house was one of them).

That is awesome. I have heard lots of cool stuff about your state-- I have to visit.

I agree with your take on this. Most city folks have no idea what its like to live in the country and the mud, the mosquitos and the tics that come with it. Lol

I love you Rose

Ol' Crayola is just a cranky old man he doesn't bother me. He misunderstood my whole thread apparently. I don't want free stuff handed out but I want better use of our tax dollars. The average citizen does not build roads or put up street lights-build schools and hospitals libraries and police stations etc. The politicians go for the biggest v**es and seem to leave rural areas with nothing but lip service.

The opening D-Day landing re-creation scene from 'Saving Private Ryan' was jolting, and should serve as a sobering reminder as to the price of freedom.

My Dad survived USMC beach landings at Guadalcanal, The Solomon Islands, Saipan, Tinian, Tarawa & Okinawa...all as a teenager.

Those beach landings were tough. You had to run like the wind as you blew stuff up so the enemy couldn't zero in on you. My friend Sam Main was a frogman and explosives expert who told me about his time in the Pacific.

Kudos to your grandfather, Tom But, I am proud of you as an American.

My Granpa Gauthier was a great man who became a proud American citizen. Later he was the Umpire at my little league games. He was a r**t.--The fans came to watch him as much as the games lol.
