Who told you semi-auto rifles "jam, don't feed right, and must be kept spotless to operate"? Somebody fed you a load of s**t.

Couple years ago a tactical training company wanted to test a new weapon lube called Siip2000 EWL. Bravo Company Manufacturing offered them a stock AR15 carbine for the test. They lubed the BCG with Slip2000 EWL and racked it with their student training rifles. Over the course of 6 months, the BCM carbine was issued to students who fired a total of 35,000 rounds through it. Not once during that time did they run a swab through the bore. All they did was occasionally apply Slip2000 EWL to the BCG and racked the rifle for the next class. One time they had to replace the extractor, but that was all. The carbine never jammed once during the entire test.

A search for any gun-related product at every Walmart location in the US, found that 58% of supercenters and legacy Walmarts sell at least one of three weapons that make up the majority of the firearm inventory: a “Remington 870 Express Shotgun,” a “Stevens Model 320 Field Shotgun” and a “Savage Axis Rifle, .223 Rem.” Many sell all three. Those 2,297 gun-selling locations are highly concentrated in non-urban areas and do not appear at all in several states, including California and New Jersey, where state laws or political pressure have chased all lethal weapons from Walmart’s shelves.

Two are shotguns and the other is a bolt action rifle. NO SEMIAUTOMATICS!!!!!

They only sell hand guns in Alaska. And to make the country a safer place, they don't sell the dangerous water guns which resemble military weapons! They might cause death if a snowflake had an apoplectic fit by seeing one.

The NICS background check can take up to 3 days (longer if there is a potential problem), but can take as little as a few minutes. And since Oregon has no imposed waiting time, YES a gun might be purchased at Walmart within minutes. But ONLY one of the three listed above unless you live in Alaska. And even there, no semiautomatics are sold.
