I wouldn't call Bernie honest. Tho what comes out of his mouth is consistent, so that's a form of honesty I guess

He doesn't change his mind. Changing the subject--is Chili Mac still a big fast food item in Illinois? It was common as hamburgers when I was stationed in Rantoul.

That’s to easy. They’re always bulls**tting. I happen to think Bernie’s the most honest on that side. However; I believe his policies would crush us.

Bernie has his heart in the right place but the country is not ready for his policys

Hell, Tom I keep my drivers license and a copy of my BC with me all the time. I've done so for years, and there is no way I could ever be mistaken for Hispanic. (Por supuesto, podría comenzar a hablar solo para tirar de sus cadenas.)

Funny you said that Tom. I can’t stand Trump. Never could. Love most of his policies though. Will v**e for him again unless by some miracle the Dems find a blue dog Democrat to run. Kinda like finding Bigfoot.

Finding Bigfoot is probably easier. What I am hoping is a candidate who is not wasting my time telling me what his opponent has done. I want to hear about what they will do. If they are bull s**tting me I'll know.

Biden better get on the ball. He needs to speak to the working man and the farmer. He needs to speak with minorities and poor people. The well off and city people are not the only ones that matter. He needs to make a connection and prove his sincerity. I hope that he does. The current President has star power and personality that I don't understand why people like him. Just being honest. Politics has turned into a gladiator contest- a pro wrestling match.

That is horrid...

Is that even legal?

It was not and that is why Arpaio was ordered to cease enforcing i*********n l*w. That is why he was facing jail before trump pardoned him.

The sherriff was put in an unfair position...

Regardless of the policies of an administration, the law of the land is still the law of the land...

He chose to make a stand and serve the people who elected him...

I have always been torn by the case... I believe that lae enforcement officers have a duty to obeY the federal government.. But the federal government has a duty to obey the laws put there by the federal government...

In my opinion he did the right thing...

I have relatives in Arizona and I was told of horror stories where Arpaio 's deputys would show up in a neighborhood in a bus and start breaking in doors and collecting people up. They would not leave till the bus was full. Two of my relatives keep their birth certificates and their mothers phone number with them at all times.

I believe it will be Sanders.

Nope--Biden is ahead by a ways.. Sanders is a fine senator --Biden has far more experience that qualifies him to be president. If you are a Republican you would want Sanders or Beto or some off breed candidate since they don't have a chance.

Shoes and clothing can be made anywhere. No shortages. As soon as inventory get lean, prices go up. When prices go up other suppliers will come in. China has been the low cost producer. Vietnam, India, and other Asian nations will be happy to supply us with shoes and clothing. The only thing that China produces that will hurt us is rare earths. Finding alternate suppliers for that will be very difficult. Almost anything else we can get on the World Market.

Nothing is made here anymore and it is our fault. We buy the stuff because we want bargains. We are hooked on buying cheap junk. Are American companies such as Georgia Boot or Hanes underwear going to build factories in the USA and give us the bargains that hooked us in the first place?

Why would you say that ? We have the biggest free market in the world. Everybody needs to sell us their crap, more than we need to buy it.
We produce more than we use domestically---we need to sell it. Almost all auto parts are made in China now--. Our shoes and clothing are made mostly overseas. My advise- stock up because you'll wish you had.
