If one has an American parent is one not autamatically granted american citizenship at birth?

Canada does this... My daughter was legally considered Canadian upon birth... Even though she was born outside the nation (China) and her mother is not Canadian...

If an American soldier or diplomat has a child outside of the nation with a foreigner is the child not considered American?

The fact that the Righties constantly bring up the "Obama was born in Kenya. Therefore he is not an American citizen," nonsense, proves what low powers of analytical thought they possess.
